Eggdrop

"Can cats stop hurting themselves?" Stormsong basically lived in their den now. It was nice to have company for the first... a few sunrises. But the tom was large, and took up most of the den when he was in. Eggdrop finished placing the last of the herbs she had collected on multiple neat piles before scooping one pile up and trotting out to the entrance. With practiced ease, the black cat laid out the herbs in the sunlight picking a nice sandy location to pull the moisture from the plant. It is stored better that way. Even if it was less effective.

There was a chill in the air, and Eggdrop wasn't going to put anything to waste. She turned her back to grab another pile when she heard paw steps. "Watch out for the herbs; they're drying!" The medicine cat called over her shoulder.

Heeding the medicine cat's words, ThunderClan's oldest apprentice gracefully stepped into the den. "There you are, Eggdrop- it's not a bad time, is it? I should have thought you might be busy."

She had focused so much on finishing her training, now that she was capable of dragging herself out of her nest in the morning, that Nightpaw had started to neglect what few connections she still had (in practice, it was really only Eggdrop); and that simply wouldn't do. She had lost much of her family to tragedy already, and she would not allow herself to lose another sister to distance. "I can come back later, if you'd prefer. Or do you need anything?" A stark contrast to how she had spent much of the past few moons- sulking or angry, and often asleep in her grief-induced haze- her eyes shone brightly and her demeanor was perfectly pleasant. "I hope you know I'll always be more than happy to help you."
