Of Leaders Queens and Warriors

Swiftheart was very grateful for the generosity that Skyclan had shown her and her clanmates this past moon. If it werent for them taking in the hurt and washed out group of shadowclan... it could have been much much worse. Hopefully, they could soon return to their own home and rebuild all that the flood had taken from them. Although all the dens and the supplies and the things were gone, looking around the positive she cat could only think of all the important clanmates that she still had around and that they were what really mattered. The dens and supplies could be rebuilt and restocked. Her clanmates safety and well being in life was all that mattered and they were all safe here.

As she glanced upwards in the dusk when the first stars were beginning to shine she couldnt help but smiling and thanking starclan that everything had worked out alright. At first, it had been easy to blame them for what went wrong and wonder why they had not warned shadowclan or even prevented it all together. Yet, now it felt like that as hard as it was to lose all of their stuff, it showed what really did matter. When the shallowest of things were washed away, the deeper connections of relationships was able to shine all that much brighter. /

Glancing over to her left, she saw a familiar cat who she had met and spoken with before at the skyclan, shadowclan border. It felt like moons and moons ago ... but also felt like yesterday at the same time if that makes sense? Either way, she smiled gently and walked over to the Skyclan leader. She remembered she also had her kits mid gathering and hoped that they were all doing well. Back when they first met, it was Briar who had told Swiftheart that she should be more careful of starngers, that Swiftheart was too naive and didnt understand that strangers couldnt be trusted. Swiftheart knew that the leader was probably right, the white furred warrior was often too trusting of strangers, however it allowed her to also make friends easily.

"Briarstar" she purred warmly in greeting dipping her head in respect as was custom when talking with clan leaders of clans outside ones own. "It is very good to see you again" she mewed warmly "I wanted to thank you for allowing us stay here all this time. It has meant so much and we are so grateful for your understanding of these times."

In the center of camp, Briarstar sat directing her Clanmates on what to do for the day- hunting and border patrols, repairing dens, assisting Plumpaw and Fogpaw, and the likes. It was customary for the time of day- her Clan was just rising and attending to their duties. ShadowClan, who joined them, had almost been in a sort of disarray. Some of them chose to stick closely to their former schedules, going out at night and sleeping during the day, other adhered to SkyClan’s schedule. Both were rather normal for the molly, as a ShadowClan native, so it didn’t bother her much aside from making organization around camp slightly more difficult.

Her attention was pulled to reality when she heard the sweet voice of one of those ShadowClanners, addressing her directly. Swiftheart. She’d met this molly before, long ahead of ShadowClan’s recent issues. It had been when she was still pregnant with her most recent litter, before… Ah, nevermind. She politely dipped her head in turn, delegating her current task to the nearest senior SkyClan warrior. At Swiftheart’s words of thanks, the large, fluffy leader simply shook her head. ”I am simply doing what I would only hope another Clan would do for mine, should I find myself in a similar situation.” She mewed, trying to keep her head level. She had things to get done today… ”Was there something that you needed, Swiftheart? Prey, medicine?” She offered, hoping to get to whatever it was she wanted. Perhaps all she’d wanted was to thank her, but Briarstar couldn’t be too sure.
