❒ It was just supposed to be a calming stroll to familiarize himself with Skyclan's territory more, however, things didn't remain that simple. Perhaps he was just cursed with bad luck? yeah. That must be it. Honestly, he was starting to get used to it at this point—as sad as it was.

❒ The screeching of an eagle was all the warning the young warrior received before he felt the cruel talons of said bird rake across his back. he let out a gasp and scrambled around to stare up at the feathered fiend. He scowled at it. He was already tired of this. With all that had happened so far in his life, this was just a mild annoyance. He had other, better things to worry about than a stupid eagle.

❒ Grunting the Shadowclanner kept backing up as he waited for it to begin its descent again. Once it was low enough for him to even make a move, Forestbreeze leaped at it and brought it back down onto the unforgiving ground. He didn't have much time to pin it before it struggled its way back into the sky. He needed to keep a close eye on the bird.

❒ The eagle seemed more peeved than before which made Forest twitchy. He dug his claws into the soil below and ducked to protect his head as the predator swooped down swiftly and got a hold of his scruff. He growled and furiously shook until it set itself free and began to rush back into the protection of the sky. He was a bit too heavy for it to take off with him but it never hurt to be extra cautious. He wasn't keen on taking a joyride with an eagle.

❒ He repeated his last strategy and waited for it to lower itself to a manageable level. He wasn't used to jumping too high so it was a necessity. As his amber eyes traced the dangerous bird's movements, he lifted himself onto his hind legs and used his unsheathed paws to strike it just before it could touch him, then sprung to one side. Its furious screeches made him flinch but he held his ground. He could tell it was getting tired. However, that also applied to him but it didn't need to know that.

❒ He was getting frustrated with this same song and dance. Birds were trickier and more annoying to fight than he first thought. To spare his back any more pain, he shifted as soon as it tried to rake its talons so it attacked his side instead. He winced but kept a level head. When was this going to end? He now ached for rest.

❒ He stiffened and glared at the sky as the eagle circled around him. That was it. He was done with this. He lifted his chin and gave it a challenging stare. He was going to put an end to its annoying habits.

❒ Forest stood patiently as he watched the feathered beast swoop down. He grunted and met it halfway and snapped his jaws closed on one of its wings. He tugged and used his claws to attack whatever he could reach. It ripped itself free and writhed around on the ground before scrambling up and awkwardly flapping back up.

❒ The grey and white warrior sighed in relief as he watched its retreating figure grow smaller and smaller as it flew into the distance. Good. Finally, it was over. Now, some rest is what he desired. With a flick of his tail, Forestbreeze began to head back to Skyclan's camp at a leisurely pace.
