swift and ashen

swiftheart had been taking time recently to hang out and spend time wiht all her kits. She wanted to know how they were doing and if anything she could get or do for them all.

Going to the nursery she smiled at her ashen-kit. "hello you" she purred warmly with her big smile. Going to sit next to them she purred gently.

"how are you doing my kit?"

Ashenkit jumped up, fur floofing up from surprise, before glancing up at their mother, eyes wide. Their mother had snuck up on them, and they had no clue how.

“I’m doing good mom! I was just picking at this moss to see if there were any ants in it.” There was a pause, where Ashenkit looked down at their work once more, realizing that they may have torn up the moss beyond repair.

“I think I may have gotten a little carried away..

Swiftheart purred looking down at her kit and the moss and did you find any ants? she asked her kit curious sitting next to her . She groomed at ashenkit fur gently taking care of her. I imagine you will be an apprentice any day now she purred happily if that is something you want

Ashenkit beamed up her mother.

“I- I didn’t..that’s okay, right?” They hung their head for a moment, realizing that all they ended up doing was making the apprentices job harder.

“I’m sorry mom! I’ll do better! I’ll help the apprentices clean up this moss! I promise!” Ashenkit once again had their energy back. At the mention of becoming an apprentice, Ashenkit leaped to their feet, eyes wide with excitement.

“Do you think so? Do you really really think so??”

Swiftheart gave a little purr and shrugged oh don’t worry about the moss little one it’s not an issue she reassured her daughter.


She smiled wide and nodded yes I think you are ready and will make a great apprentice and warrior she encouraged.

“Thank you thank you thank you mom!!” Ashenkit exclaimed, barely able to contain the excitement compelling them to jump up and down. Luckily, they managed to contain their composure, and nuzzled their mom in thanks.
