Deep Waters (SC clan-wide plot)

❒ It had appeared that his worst fear had come true. Nobody had time to evacuate after Froststar's and Nightstalker's attempts to bring order to the chaos. It was all so sudden that nobody had any time to react either. The monstrous crack—the swift wall of cascading water. Shadowclan was being flooded and nobody had been prepared.

❒ Forestbreeze had left his nest and had congregated with some others too where the leader and deputy were discussing their options. They were all anxious to leave for safety. Forest's amber eyes never stopped searching for the familiar pelts of Iceheart and her apprentice, Honeypaw. He wanted the three of them to stick together. He noticed a few others trying to gather up their friends and families as well. It was crucial to try and keep everyone together. The water was flowing faster and faster every minute that passed by. They needed to leave and now.

❒ However, before anybody had the chance, an ominous noise had resonated somewhere outside the camp—a sound that had chilled Forestbreeze to his core. "Iceheart! Honeypaw!" Was the only thing he could say before a wall of water made itself known to the frightened cats and began to sweep them all away.

❒ The grey and white tom gasped as he was suddenly drenched with water. He could no longer feel the ground beneath his paws so instinctively, he began to paddle. He didn't know where he was trying to go but it was of no use all the same. The water was too strong to try and counter it. A pang of terror struck his chest. What about the kits? The elders? What about Iceheart and Honeypaw? He couldn't see anyone anymore and he had never felt more alone than he did at that moment. He could only try and keep his head above the water. Oh, Starclan! Have mercy on them all! He kept up his prayers like a mantra. It was the only thing he could even do to keep up his hope that everything would be okay in the end.
