It was always a joy to see another kit reach apprentice age. Juniperkit was another cat that was going to become RiverClan’s latest apprentice, and Poppyshine looked forward to seeing what a lovely warrior she would become. She jumped onto the Willow Branch and announced loud and clear for the clan, “Let all cats old enough to catch their own fish gather for a Clan meeting.”

Juniperkit whom was being groomed feircly by her mother tried to claw her way free as she managed to a tift of fur stuck up in her attempt to escape her coat amoothed down."Im good mooom"she spoke before she scampered off out of the den in a bought of excitement as she moved sitting down among the crowd. Sitting where she could look up at the deputy with wide eager amber eyes.

Poppyshine smiled proudly when she spotted Juniperkit. The kit’s eyes shone with the same excitement that Poppyshine had exhibited when she became an apprentice. ”Juniperkit, you have reached your age of six moons and are ready to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Juniperpaw.” She lifted her eyes and looked in the crowd until she found the face of the one she was looking for. “Your mentor shall be Harebounce. May she teach you all of the lessons that life has brought her in her time in this forest.” With a final nod, Poppyshine stepped down from the branch and listened to the cheers from her clan celebrating Juniperpaw’s new rank.
