Poppyshine
Poppyshine now moved to join Stormpaw, with her snake dead. The snake lunged at Stormpaw, aiming to bite at him again, but Poppyshine leapt in the way. She refused to let Stormpaw get hurt any more than he already had. She hissed and swiped at the snake with her claws, though it was mostly a threat. The snake hissed back and now seeing that it was outnumbered, it quickly turned and retreated into the brush.
Poppyshine let out a relieved breath and turned to look at Stormpaw. “Are you alright?” she asked, looking him over. He had a few wounds and Poppyshine’s stomach twisted into knots. “I’m sorry, Stormpaw. Let’s get you back and get you some herbs.”
Snake 2 used Serpent Strike, dealing 6 damage and costing 10 SP. Poppyshine used Blocking Leap to take the damage for Stormpaw. The snake has run away.

Stormpaw
Stormpaw breathed heavily, slowly untensing his coiled muscles from where he had prepared to fight when the snake lunged at him. As he registered that the snakes were either dead or gone, the adrenaline wore off and his legs felt weak. The fear that he should’ve felt during the battle finally hit him, making him feel even more dizzy. He licked his bleeding shoulder a few times, trying to calm himself down, before he managed to refocus back on Poppyshine’s voice and words.
“It’s not your fault,” He said immediately, shaking his head. He gave her a tiny smile. “A-at least now I know my training hasn’t gone to waste?” He laughed softly, the sound slightly hysterical as he fell into a shaky step beside Poppyshine. He looked her over. “Are you okay?” She took a few bites too.
