No Longer Alone [c]

As a member of SkyClan, it seemed natural to Aether that he should learn more of the territory, even if that was to be done on his own. So there he was, wandering the borders of his new home, learning where the outskirts laid, and the Clans that lived beyond. Now he stood near the Fallen Oak, taking in the scents around him. If his understanding served him right, the territory on the other side belonged to ThunderClan.

The memories of this place was bittersweet in Aether's eyes. This was where he had gone on his first outing away from the Order. He had been with his brother then, when Apollo was still alive. He remembered how his brother had been so willing to make friends with the cat that they had met that day. Aether had been annoyed then. He had wanted to prove how strong he was, how much better he was, all so he could impress Klaus.

If only he had known what he did today. He would merely enjoy the little time he could spend with his kin.

A rustle in the leaves alerted him to a passing patrol, and Aether snapped out of his nostalgia, turning his attention to whoever was approaching.
