Fruit of Our Labor (C)

It was a lovely starlit night, a cool breeze blowing between the pine trees as Basilbloom prepared for a walk outside the camp, crunching a chamomile flower in her mouth.  It had been a few days since she had checked on her coneflower patch, the last she'd seen the little seeds had begun to sprout little leaves.  Judging by the size of the plants the herb patrol had taken the seeds from, it would likely take at least until leaf-fall for the coneflower to become full-grown, but if she was careful not to take too much she could surely use the leaves and stems before that day came.  As she was about to leave though, she noticed a familiar face in the clearing; her friend Duskflight.  It had been a while since they had spoken, and a sudden idea came upon the petite she-cat.  Trotting up to the tom, she purred a greeting and launched into her invitation.  "Hi Dusky, if you're not too busy do you wanna walk with me?  I'm going to check on the coneflower sprouts."
