Fawnkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Shrikestorm felt something he hadn't felt in... well, ever: nervousness. He was the deputy now, and there was a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. He climbed to the top of the Tallrock, looking down with a sense of pride. So this was what the clan looked like from up there. He still couldn't believe that he was the deputy. It had seemed like such an impossibility, and yet... He shook his head to clear those thoughts. There was no time to think about that. He had something he was there to do. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather around the Tallrock for a clan meeting!"

This has to be his ceremony! At least that's what Hentooth told them. He was about the age to become an apprentice and he didn't lack motivation for it. Finally, he will start his training to become an active member of his mother's clan, who accepted him despite not being a clan-born cat.

Fawnkit took a deep breath and stepped out of the nursery, feeling the cold breeze of leaf-bare on his face. He sneezed but continue to approach the clearing, waiting for Shrikestorm's announcement.

Shrikestorm looked down upon Fawnkit. His feelings about non-pure clan cats were known, but he was deputy now. He wouldn’t deny a cat a ceremony despite his feelings. “Fawnkit, you have reached the age where you can now become an apprentice. Until the time you can become a warrior, you will be known as Fawnpaw. Muddyleap will be your mentor.”
