Dawnfeather, curled up in the warrior den, pushed her back gently into Prima’s fur and lay, staring up blankly at the woven branches. She lightly flicked her tail off of Olive- the younger molly didn’t make a sound. Today- today she’d promised to help Hailpaw climb, since Prima couldn’t. But- she didn’t- she knew Hailpaw didn’t want to climb. No one wanted to climb. Everyone could already climb. They wanted to tree-fly, and oftentimes they couldn’t- they didn’t have the right body shape, or quick enough reaction time. Hailpaw though- he- well, he’d think she was just basing her observations off of his poor sight.
She was, but in the best possible way. She didn’t want him to get hurt. He couldn’t see, he couldn’t do it. It was simple as that. You didn’t just need good sight- you needed impeccable sight. She flicked her tail… Olive murmured sleepily.
Putting it off wouldn’t help any.
Dawnfeather clambered to her paws and ducked out of the den, breathing in the crisp air. She could do this. Ducking into the apprentice den, she gently woke the white tom. Prima should’ve already told him… she gave Hollowpaw a gentle lick between the ears brushed her tail over Beetle’s side, and backed out. Hopefully- hopefully his expectations wouldn’t be too unrealistic…
