Holly in the open[c]

CreamFrost walked over to the apprentices den went inside and said [color:89d6=66ccff] “HollyPaw get up, it’s time for your first day of training. she lightly said she did not want to wake any other apprentices as she waited for HollyPaw she nudged her and went back out of the apprentices den to simply wait.

Hollypaw curled up cozily in the apprentice den. It seemed much, much different from the old nursery that she was used to, but she enjoyed being there as a new apprentice anyway. There were no more soft hints of the sweet milk lingering and inviting her in the air, but the warmth from the other apprentices seemed to welcome her instead. Then suddenly, her ears perked up high as Creamfrost called for her. Hollypaw's eyes shot open. She slowly pushed herself up, and shook herself quickly to get into a more awake state. "My first training session!"  She thought, carefully making her way through the other apprentices.

The sunlight beamed on her face as she looked over to her mentor. Ears perked high, tail readily held up, and paws quick to react. She smiled, padding over towards Creamfrost. The slightest glimmer of tiredness seemed to just have disappeared from her the moment Creamfrost had called for her name.

She was ready, and determined to show that she could be as talented as any other apprentices could be.

CreamFrost as soon as she saw her apprentice was up she immediately said “Hi HollyPaw. Ready for your first day of training?” She said with her nicest tone possible. Th3n headed for the edge of camp watching to make sure HollyPaw followed her. Then headed for the best hunting spot she knew.

“Alright now watch me” she said getting into a hunting position for fish a prayed to StarClan that it would not be possible to mess up in front of her apprentice.

Hollypaw smiled with a nod, following her mentor close by until they reached nearby the streams. Watching Creamfrost hunt, the young molly remembered each steps in her mind. Scanning the rivers and streams nearby where they were at, she spotted a medium-sized fish, and immediately aimed to catch it. She unsheathed her claws, then creeped closer, and closer to the river. As her paws entered the chilling water, the apprentice nearly immediately withdrawn it, but managed to stop herself from doing so. The river's water swirled around her legs, flowing swiftly and quickly. Then in just a heartbeat, Hollypaw leaped foward, her fangs aiming directly towards the moving shadow.

The smell of blood entered her nostrils as she sunk her fangs into the scaly fish. It went down limp in one movement as she made her way back on land, smiling with satisfaction. She had just caught a fish on her first try. The rapidly-flowing river seemed to pull her in for more, but she knew better than to linger in the deeper parts of the river, and carefully stepped up to the surface again. Showing Creamfrost the fish caught in her mouth, Hollypaw sat down, and shook herself to become more dry.
