Spark's Renaming Ceremony

It had been quite the surprise when the ex-RiverClan ex-Asylum tom had approached Flintstar, requesting to take on a warrior's name. He hadn't pressed for the reason why - could be Spark wanted to distant himself with his past and embrace his new life within ShadowClan...Maybe he was tired of looking up whenever somebody called for Sparkfire. Who knew - Flintstar sure didn't, but he also didn't really care. But...He also wasn't sure how to go around this - recalling when his father had gotten his name changed from Sans to Asterstrike. He...Suppose he could work around the words he remembered being used. Ah well.

"ShadowClan! Gather in the shadow of the Jaggedrock!"

Spark padded out of the warrior's den, searching for Shira. He told his mate that he would ask Flintstar about a warrior name a couple sunrises ago, and later that day he asked Flintstar for it. Flintstar scared him as much as Ivystar did, but he got the courage to talk to the gray-and-black tom. Surprisingly, the ShadowClan leader seemed alright with it, so Spark felt hopeful when he left. Now, a clan meeting was being held. He didn't know if it was for him or if it was for an apprentice, or perhaps even a deputy or warrior ceremony. Noticing his mate near the nursery, he padded near her and the four kits next to her, waiting to see what this meeting was about.

Flintstar glanced over as he spotted Spark padding from the warrior's den, before the tom made his way over to join Shira. It was still a surprise that the tom had requested a warrior name - he had expected the two runaways to be like Thalia, comfortable with her old name. Emberleap had at least gone through training but neither of the two seemed interested and he was interested in forcing them into it either. It had taken a little while to decide on a new name for Spark but...Well, perhaps the choice hadn't been as difficult as he had expected. "I've called you all here because one of our new members has asked for a Clan name." His eyes fell onto the orange tom. "Spark, please step forward."

He waited for the tom to weave his way through the crowd, taking a spot at the front before the leader continued on. "Spark, you have requested to be recognized as a true warrior of ShadowClan with a proper warrior name. I have thought about it and tonight that will be done. By the power invested in me as leader of Shadowclan, I bestow a warrior name to you. Spark, from this moment on you shall be known as Foxspark. We welcome you and your family as proper ShadowClan cats and I know you will serve us well."
