Chilly Paws (closed)

Trotting through the marshy plains with clouds dimming the sky above, Tulipfang made her way to nowhere in particular, seeing as though she enjoyed the simple sights and sounds of the wilderness that was around her. Her paws were cold from the chilled ground and she hadn't been out for too long but prayed that her pawpads warmed up sooner rather than later. With Leaf-bare just around the corner, the clan use as much prey as possible and so she'd decided that she'd might as well go out and see what she could find. It didn't take too much time and not long after her short journey through the grasses, the white and ginger she-cat caught the scent of prey. Crouching down and making sure to not rub her fluffy pelt on the ground too much, she crept forward, and soon enough, spotted a mouse scratching at the barren ground for its' breakfast.

Padding onward, the scent of soon prey caught her attention and crouched down, she glanced around. Sure enough, just was couple foxlengths away was a vole rummaging through some dead grass, most likely stocking up for Leaf-bare. Keeping her body and tail low, Tulipfang stalked forward, her hackles shifting back and forth as she waited for just the right moment. Pouncing, she landing squarely on the vole and killed it with a swift bite to its neck. It wasn't much, but it was better than returning to camp empty pawed, that was for sure.

Tulipfang attempted to catch a vole and was successful. -3 SP
