Wisteriabloom growled yet again at Cedarheart's fast deflections and reflexes: if the Thunderclanner dodged many more of her attacks, she would likely be the winning side. She grunted as she was flung away, surprised at the older she-cat's strength. As quickly as she could, she regained her footing on the slightly marshy ground, soon launching another attack. By this point she was starting to loose what little patience she had. Hoping to overpower the tabby, she slashed at her with both unsheathed paws, growing more and more determined to win.

Wisteriabloom used Rendering Front Paws on Cedarheart, costing 25 SP and deaing 13 damage

Cedarheart tasted the distinct taste of blood as it started to trickle into her mouth from a wound that the Riverclanner had cut open. Licking it quickly, she hoped it wasn't too horrible. She could certainly stop by the medicine den when she got back, but now she had to focus. If she lost her concentration, if she slipped up, this could end badly. Both of the mollies were slowing down, getting tired of this fight. But she had to keep pushing through. Leaping at the she-cat, she attempted to pin her to the ground. This way, the tabby could get an advantage.

Cedarheart used Leap and Hold, dealing 13 damage and costing 10 stamina! Wisteriabloom is pinned for 1 turn!

Wisteriabloom, now held to the ground by her opponent, struggled to get free. The idea of her winning was slowly slipping out her grasp, but she refused to give up now. Despite the size advantage the large she-cat had earlier, the brown tabby's experience was starting to show as much more helpful. No matter how much she struggled, she couldn't break free from her grasp. Would it be a good idea to retreat now? No. Even failing was better than being a coward in her eyes. So she would keep fighting until she physically couldn't, but she didn't know how much longer she could actually hold up. In a desperate bid for freedom, she shifted her weight slightly, putting more body weight on her front paws to tip her attacker off. Hopefully it would work.

Wisteriabloom is pinned!

Cedarheart liked feeling dominant in battles, and this position was fueling that. But the smaller she-cat was struggling to keep her larger opponent under her grasp, and it only really took a shift of weight to break her off. As she fell backwards, head hitting the ground with a thump, she blinked slowly, then urged herself up. Being on the ground would be a heavy disadvantage, and she didn’t need anymore of those. Facing a once-again standing Wisteriabloom, she reared up, raising her paws and bashing them down on the Riverclanner. She winced, feeling a tinge of sympathy. It looked painful. But she regained her focus quickly, remembering the situation she was in.

Cedarheart used Upright Lock, dealing 16 damage and costing 25 stamina!

Wisteriabloom was now at the point where she was considering giving up. She may've been fairly experienced, but she was still young, and was nowhere near matching this she-cat in skill. The warrior's paws came smashing down on head, making her vision do spotty. A searing pain passed through her skull, almost as if it were shattered. She felt her opponent wince slightly. A moment of weakness, the tabby warrior thought. One issue, though. She wasn't sure if she had the strength to even stand, but an idea came to her mind. The river. It was the same stream that she had leap out earlier, and now it lay a few kit-steps away.

Feeling faint at the pain, she gritted her teeth as she stood up again. With almost all the strength she had left, she forced the she-cats head into the river. She wouldn't have the strength to hold it under for long, but the dragging current and the swiftly cooling water would be enough to stun her. After all, this cat was the trespasser, so she might as well use the river to her advantage as much as possible.

Wisteriabloom used Underwater Clinch on Cedarheart, costing 10 SP and dealing 11 damage. Cedarheart is stunned for 1 turn!

Cedarheart scolded herself mentally after. That pause had been the downfall. It went by in a flash, that moment before she plunged underneath. The realization was too slow, and she barely managed to gulp down air. Struggling against the force of Wisteriabloom would just make it worse. The cold water sent a shock through her body. She felt herself sinking down, deeper and deeper. She couldn’t breath, and her body felt just about frozen. She had to get out. She couldn’t fight in the water, and if she stayed down here much longer she wouldn’t make it back up. She felt herself reach the bottom of the river, and pushed with her legs. The force carried her most of the way, and after scrambling with her paws, she managed to get above the surface. With her remaining strength, she dragged herself out of the water, then stopped moving.

She felt frozen from her head to her pawpads. She couldn’t move, breathing heavily as she tried to regain both air and warmth. She wasn’t sure if she had the strength to carry herself back to camp at this point. She needed to get up, to attack, but Cedarheart was stuck.

(ooc: ah I'm so sorry I completely forgot about this!)

Wisteriabloom let go of Cedarheart as she felt the Thunderclanner fight back - the cold water would be enough to stun her, and if she held her there much longer she might've drowned. Even though she was full of anger and knew that earlier she was loosing, she was not a killer. No-one should die for trespassing. So relaxed her grip and took a few steps back, waiting for her opponent to catch her breath a little. She expected a counter attack, but nothing came; the river had done its job well.

Taking advantage of the tabby's moment of weakness, she reared up and brought her front paws crashing down on her head. So she didn't have the same hesitation, she closed her eyes briefly. She wasn't going to let her use the same tricks that she had. That was Wisteriabloom's job: she loved using other cats tactics against them, mostly because it was annoying more than anything else.

Wisteriabloom used Upright Lock on Cedarheart, costing 25 SP and dealing 14 damage

ooc: all good!!

Cedarheart winced as the she-cat got in another attack. They were both weakened, but the tabby could pull herself to do another attack. If Wisteriabloom was as exhausted as she was, this final blow could end the battle. She drew herself off the ground, legs shaky. She was hurt, and needed Mossbloom, or Daisybloom. All of her body was hurting, but she had to do this. She felt bad for just a moment, but it wasn’t like the Riverclanner hadn’t been doing the same thing. She took a deep breath, then threw herself at the molly. She struck out with her claws, slashing at her opponent. In the pause, she ran. Her green eyes were dull, and she was bleeding in multiple places. Her breathing was heavy as she tried to make her way back to her camp, back home. She needed some healing, some food, and rest. But she was glad she hadn’t been the one to “lose” the battle. In her mind, this was a win.

Cedarheart used Front Paw Strike, dealing 12 damage and costing 10 stamina. Wisteriabloom is KO’ed!

Wisteriabloom had lost. She couldn't lie to herself anymore now. After the final blow, her attacker had fled, leaving the large warrior bleeding on the ground. She wanted to get up, to chase after the tang-pelt, but she didn't have enough energy left in her body. She would just have to lie there for awhile, blood trickling from her wounds, muscles refusing to move. What should I do? She would definitely have to visit Thornpaw in the medicine den. That was when she could get to her feet, however. For however long it took for her to recover, she lay there. She might've fallen asleep. Then, with shaky legs, she rose and began padding slowly back to camp, limping slightly on an injury leg.
