Warrior Pride (Beechpaw/Rainstrike)

Dawnpaw fell from the enemy she-cat and hit the ground with a light plop! His smaller cat body was light at least, which made hitting the ground not so bad. By the time he was back on his feet, she had already come toward him. Her claws whizzed through the air and peeled the flesh back from his shoulder, immediately resulting in a yowl from the apprentice. White hot pain exploded through his forelimb connected to his shoulder, but the pain fueled his rage. Dawnpaw bolted around his enemy, feigning an attack here and feigning another attack there, before he finally darted in for her tail.

His teeth crushed closed over it and he kept running, only stopping when her tail physically prevented him from going any further and it yanked him off of his own feet. It was enough to even cause his own teeth to hurt as his back hit the ground below.

Rainstrike snarled. This had turned from a fun game for her, into an annoyance. She had planned to leave these two alive, but now she was considering ripping this insolent youth's throat out. He grabbed her by the tail and the force of his yank pulled them both off kilter, and Rainstrike stumbled, shaking her head wildly as tingles raced up and down her spine.
