Sunpaw looked at the tree beside her, sure she could smell a squirrel. Sure enough, a squirrel was on the lowest branch, not paying attention except to the nut it was eating, The tail was dangaling just in reach, so Sunpaw jumped up high, claws extended. They just barely snagged on the tail, and the squirrel fell with ah THUD, which killed it instantly.

moosepelt was finally happy that sunpaw caught a piece of prey

Sunpaw stretched her back legs, seeing a rabbit and preparing to chase it. She crouched, stalked foreward, and shot out. It ran, and she ran after it, but it reached it's burrow.

moosepelt shaked his head.Maybe she has bad luck...he thought knowing she could do better with no luck at all

Sunpaw slammed her paw down in anger and frusteration. She saw a mouse and stalked it, missing it by a whisker.

Goldenstar was watching Sunpaw's performance too, hidden in a group of berry bushes. Man, she could have gotten that. So close..

Sunpaw flexed her claws. Then, she smelled a paricualrily good smell, one that tingled her nostrils and made her want to float in the air.
A pheasant!
She found the source and crept up slowly to it. The fat bird was practicly begging to be caught, because it gave no fight and was an easy catch. She held it triumphantly in her jaws as she carried it back to Moosepelt, unaware of Goldenstar until the wind currebt changed. She recognized the scent immeadeatly, but decided that it was best to leave her at peace in case she, too, was hunting and might disturb her prey.

Goldenstar grinned. A pheasant! Wow, those are really hard to catch, especially for an apprentice.

OOC: a pheasant is a HUMONGOUS catch! And, i have to admit, if it said I didn't catch it, i'd change it to a small mouse so's i wouldn't be embarassed! also, thx for FINALLY posting, we need thish gravy train a'rolling!
