Deadpaw laid, bored, in the weak sunshine. He was eager to do something, like training. His father was nowhere in sight, and he sighed.

moosepelt padded to his son"hey want to go to a border patrol"he asked

Deadpaw sprang up. "Yes, that would be great!" he meowed exitedly.

"The thunderpath," he decided, after a bit of thought.

"okay then let's go"he said as he padded towards thunderpath

As Deadpaw followed after his father after the marking, he began to smell an acrid stench. Soon he found him self standing in front of a stretch of bare, black ground. He cringed at the odour it held. "That smells horrible..." Deadpaw murmured, disgusted.

"let's just hurry so we can go"he said trying nit to smell the odour

Deadpaw nodded. "I agree." Moosepelt began to pad away, Deadpaw at his heels.
"Where are we going now?" he asked the brown warrior.
