| OOC: Due to out-of-character reasons, Ferretnose is stepping in for a couple of apprentice ceremonies over the next few days. In character, Houndheart is under the weather.
Houndheart's sickness was certainly not as bad as he made it out to be, honestly. Ferretnose only agreed to carry out a few ceremonies on behalf of Mossbloom, who was cursed to stay at his side as he whimpered and sniffled. The queen considered it an honor, nonetheless. Two of her kits were to become apprentices, Cedarkit and Beekit. Icekit and Smudgekit were also finally of age. She was glad to see two of her litter's playmates was coming with them to the apprentice den. She prayed that Sorrelkit, Nightkit, and Barkkit would join them soon... oh, poor Dovekit. She deserved to have been a warrior.
There was no time for sadness. She would save her weeping for moonhigh. "Cats of ThunderClan!" she trilled jubilantly as she climbed Highrock. Her kits were weaned, but her belly still swayed with the heaviness of milk. She bit the inside of her cheek and prayed she wasn't too funny looking. "Gather beneath the Highrock for a clan meeting!" ______________________________________ 》Former Admin《 Rushkit | RiverClan Kit | #4b5320 Lionkit | ThunderClan Kit | #cb945f |

| Cedarkit bounded out of the nursery, sunrises to hear her mother’s voice calling out to the crowd. She quickly sat down at the edge of the rock, looking up with curiosity. ‘It must be my ceremony!’ ______________________________________ Bearpaw Thunderclan Apprentice #44B3C7

| Smudgepaw padded towards cedar. This was her apprentice ceremony and he was happy. The black and white Tom sat down next to cedar and licked her head in congratulations. ______________________________________ ~.:*Dream Without Fear, Love without Limits*:.~ Dapplekit 10/30Skyclan |

| Cedarkit grinned, and blushed slightly. She had been very glad for him at his ceremony too. Her pelt started to grow hot, and she looked back up at her mother.

| Ferretnose suppressed the urge to fly down from Highrock and place herself less-than-inconspicuously between Cedarkit and Smudgepaw. Not yet! her every instinct screamed. That's my kit! She's only a little apprentice!
Ah, well. Apprenticeship had come for both young ones. She couldn't pin Cedarkit or Beekit down in the nursery forever. "Cedarkit, dear, step forward!" she chirped softly, a world-weary look shrouding her expression. "You have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Cedarpaw." Though she wanted to add a long soliloqy about her pride for her small daughter, it wouldn't have been appropriate. She probably wouldn't appreciate the public embarrassment, either. Ferretnose locked eyes with Cedarpaw's new mentor. The queen liked to think she had a paw in Houndheart's decision. She was ready for an apprentice. "Cedarpaw, your mentor will be Rainstrike. She's a fierce and tenacious warrior, embodying the spirit of ThunderClan. I trust her to pass on everything I taught her onto you."
Ferretnose leaped down from the Highrock and nuzzled Cedarpaw with congratulations. As Rainstrike came over to greet her new student, her former mentor smiled warmly. The next generation of ThunderClanners were everything she could have hoped for. Stars, it made her feel old! ______________________________________ 》Former Admin《 Rushkit | RiverClan Kit | #4b5320 Lionkit | ThunderClan Kit | #cb945f |

| Cedarpaw grinned, purring as she was nuzzled by her mother. Rainstrike! She will be a great mentor. She bounded towards her mentor with an excited look in her eyes. “When can we start?” She asked, brimming with excitement. She looked at Smudgepaw, a bright look in her eyes. ______________________________________ Bearpaw Thunderclan Apprentice #44B3C7

| An apprentice had been the last thing on her mind when Rainstrike attended what seemed like the hundredth meeting called in a such a short span of time within ThunderClan. She was seated in the back of the crowd, observing with the minimum required attention. The young warrior was grieving, and truthfully the only reason she'd been dragging herself to these ceremonies was because there was only so long she could stare at the same four walls of the warriors' den before she lost her mind. The literal last thing she'd expected was to look up to see Ferretnose staring at her only moments before assigning her as Cedarkit's new mentor.
Rainstrike blinked once, twice, a third time, her pale eyes seeking any sign of jest or error in her own ex-mentor's gaze. Why? Why her? Rainstrike couldn't even protect Mistwalker, her own father. How could she be trusted with an apprentice? An innocent young kit that would rely on her for safety and guidance. Her breath hitched in panic, and Rainstrike squinted, brow furrowing, but Ferretnose seemed steadfast in her certainty. She was eventually able to force herself to move forward, carrying her over to Ferretnose's daughter on numb paws. The young warrior forced a smile, reaching down to touch noses with the young cat with a nervous purr.
"Training starts, ah... tomorrow," she told the apprentice. /Right after I tell them you need a new mentor. A capable one./ ______________________________________ - Plotting & Profiles -Smokepetal SkC MC T3 #009933 Sunfire SkC T5 #FFBB00 Minkshadow WC T1 #6F2DA8 Lichenwing TC T5 #FF0033 Ravenloft TC T1 #FF6600 Signature lineart by supurrnovae. |
