Wearing the sky brings warmth (closed)

Padding through the thin wooded territory with the sun rising behind him, Sunflower made his way to no where in particular. Just a few sunrises or so ago, a Twoleg cub had put what somecats called 'the sky' on his pelt. It had taken some getting used to and Spottedstar had been keen on getting it of of him as soon as possible, but surprisingly enough, it brought the skinny tom some level of comfort... and even warmth. So for now, he wore the Twoleg item, though he knew it would have to come off sooner rather than later.

The tom wasn't very keen on patrolling with others and decided it was best to patrol alone, seeing as though he usually made a fool of himself. Not long after his journey through the base of the trees, the lengthy tom caught the scent of prey. Crouching down as far as his abnormally twig-like legs would let him go, he stalked forward and soon enough, spotted a squirrel nibbling on its' breakfast. Hopefully, it would be as easy of a kill as it looked to be.

Stalking forward, Sunflower waited a few moments, his haunches wiggling back and forth in calibration. Just a little longer... then it was all his, or so he prayed.

Pouncing, the tom's big paws landed squarely onto the squirrel's plump shoulders. With a swift bite to the neck before it could let out a squeal, he'd successfully caught a piece of prey. 'Not a bad way to start the morning,' he thought to himself, wishing every time he hunted he'd been this successful. Well, at least his clanmates would see he'd been successful when he returned back to camp.
