Quiet as a ShadowClan warrior in her approach, Zinnia joined the fight, drawing the goose’s attention away from Raventail. Now that he had one less beak to occupy him, the small tom launched himself at the goose’s other side. Feathers tangled in his claws. Thankfully, the goose seemed to be tiring. His final leap wasn’t graceful, dodging wings and a snapping beak, but he found the goose’s throat and buried his teeth in it until it went still, then a moment longer. No cat could hide under a bird’s shape, but there was no harm in being certain—both because of that, and because he didn’t want it to start hissing again while he and Zinnia brought it home.

Of course, it was dead. Raventail stepped back. ”Thanks,” he said, and turned to give his injured side a lick, trying to push some fur aside to see what damage the goose had done. Some blood, the beginnings of a bruise. Nothing Aspenheart-worthy. ”Are you all right?” He leaned over the goose once more to nudge it with a paw. With a bit of work, those feathers would be good for lining WindClan’s nests; he couldn’t help but think of Dappleshine’s. ”That’s probably a sign we should head back… At least we got some extra bedding out of it?”

Raventail used Rending Front Paws on Goose, dealing 17 damage and using 25 stamina. Goose can no longer fight.

"I'm as alright as one can be after something like that, I think. Yes, I think they'll feel especially soft knowing that we fought it ourselves," she agreed easily. Her own wound wasn't especially awful, and she seemed perfectly unfazed by it. If there was any blood on her pelt, it was beneath her fur, though she favored her side as she walked. Inwardly, she noted that it was likely to be sore for a few days. "I suppose you're right, it'll be hard enough just bringing this back along with everything we caught today. Not bad, wouldn't you say?"
