But We're Fine With It [OPEN]

Cardinalcry was tired. Soon. Soon, she could go back to warrioring. Recently, she’d been mourning Scorchedbird and Darkpaw, and now she had two new kits; Frecklekit and Pumakit. Today they could go outside, which meant Cardinalcry could sleep better. Frecklekit was the runt of the litter, small like Cardinalcry herself had been; Pumakit took after their father more, though. Lynxscar was a big and fluffy cat, a strong deputy. She nudged the kittens and mewed, “Get up, kits. You can go out into camp today.” She heaved herself up, tail flicking, then grinned. "Don't paws, just go. None of them will bite."

Pumakit was already a heft kit for her size, and was constantly reminded of such. Though she refused to leave the nursery until now, the kit knew deep down it was time. With a sigh, the unusually quiet kit exited the den and scanned the clearing. A relatively distant look on her face accompanied silence from the kit's part as if unamused by what she has seen.

The unusually small, brown kit's eyes widened when she was told that she could finally go out of the nursery, to explore the camp and get to know the warriors. She slowly poked her nose out of the entrance after Pumakit, her small paws leaving small indentions as she put one in front of the other, taking her first step into the world. Her jaw dropped instantly; there was so much to see! The hustle and bustle of camp was so much more entertaining than what she could do within the confines of the nursery, and adrenaline coursed throughout her body as she gazed about, wondering what to do first.

Flintshard was silent as he was slowly limping his way through the camp, sticking to the outer edge of it as his ears twitched at the faint voices that flooded through the camp. This was a nearly nightly situation with him - walking around the camp without a clear goal. As much as he hated being restrained, he couldn't very well leave the camp on his own and he wasn't about to ask somebody to go out with him but Mothglow had stressed that walking - putting weight on his injured leg - would help the healing and so here he was, left padding around the camp. There was a faint sound of pawsteps that caught his ear, his attention being dragged to see two kits bounding from the nursery. Ah, that was Lynxscar's new litter, wasn't it? A soft huff escaped him, watching the two kits for a couple heartbeats before he turned and focused on finishing up his walk so that he could hide in the silence of the medicine cat den...Until Mothglow decided to chatter at him but that was a problem for later.

Frecklekit’s eyes glimmered as she struggled to take in the amazing sights that camp had to offer, from the bustling of warriors coming and going to the quiet chatter of resting apprentices, she found it absolutely astonishing. Tilting her head slightly, she noticed a large fluffy warrior hobbling around the outskirts of camp. Her eyes widened as she looked down to see the large gash on his foreleg, and she relaunch resisted the urge to back away slowly. Gulping, she took a few tentative steps forward and looked up at the tom in wonder. ”Um, hi.” She said quietly, her tail between her legs. ”What happened to your leg?” She remained hunched low to the ground, hoping that she hadn’t bothered the large warrior with her curiosity.

The sound of pattering paws drew closer and Flintshard slowly came to a stop to stare at the young kit who had approached. There was a moment of silence as he just stared, taking in the sight of her, almost marvelous at how tiny she was before he blinked. "A SkyClan cat attacked me over...A misunderstanding," he responded, remembering the tom's raving that ShadowClan had done something to the deputy of SkyClan. Annoyance seeped up his chest at the thought, of how many times he had tried to stress to...Beanheart, he believed was the name, that he had no idea. And yet... "But I am recovering," he said after a few heartbeats, blinking back into the present as he once again focused on Frecklekit.

"Hello little one. Enjoying your time out of the nursery?" Daisyflame mewed with a smile, padding up to Frecklekit and Flintshard. Just having returned from a hunting patrol, the warrior had noticed his fellow warrior entertaining the kit with the story of his injured leg, and the older tom though it'd be best to spend some time with the newest members of the clan as well, seeing as though he might train with them some day or other.
