Slowly, as the pair fell into the rhythm of hunting, Honeytongue started to relax as she watched the water ripple and settle from Stormbringer's successful catch. But there was a hint of fear that remained - the raccoon hadn't be killed...Perhaps once they returned, she would inform her father or Ivybrook about it so perhaps a patrol could be sent out to make sure the threat was gone before it got the idea to attack an apprentice if it didn't drown or end up in another Clan's territory...

She shook her head, pulling away from her thoughts. No, she ought to focus on hunting, not the fate of that creature. Her green eyes stared at her reflection, barely noticeable as she waited for a fish to swim by before, as per usual, struck out and waited for her pads to skim the smooth scales of the fish. The moment she felt the familiar touch, she curled her claws and pulled it to land, skillfully ending its life before adding it to the pile.

Amber eyes looked away from the water for a moment to look up at the cat sitting not to far. Stormbringer watched as Honeytongue caught another fish. The gray warrior wanted to make sure she was alright. She could tell she was a little shaken earlier, but she didn't quite know what to say. She probably said enough already. If she spoke up about it again it would probably only make things worse, so she turned back to the water. Her gaze might have been on the water but she couldn't help but let her thoughts be concerned for her friend.

She watched a couple shadows go by in front of her. Searching for one close enough and big enough to feed someone in the clan. Her gaze flicking to Honeytongue for a moment. Were her scratches alright? She hoped they wouldn't get infected later since they decided to stick to being out in the territory. Another fished passed just out of reach. She waited for a moment longer before one was finally close enough. Wait.. Wait.. Now! Her paw went into the water, the cold of it shocking her for the smallest moment. Her claws out ready to scoop up the fish in a second. Once they dug into the scales enough she flicked the fish onto the shore before killing it. Another fish for the pile!

Their pile was slowly growing, and Honeytongue couldn't help but feel proud of what they were doing. However, the longer they stayed out here...The more her shoulder was starting to ache more and more, to be honest. While it certainly felt better than it would if they were hunting on land, the quick lashing out to catch the prey was starting to pay a toll. She held on a brave face however, determined to at least try to catch one more fish before offering up the idea to Stormbringer of heading back to camp.

And so she sat there, crouched and ready until another shadow - the finale attempt at a catch - passed by and she lashed out with her paw. With little issue - other than another stab of pain from her shoulder - she drew the fish on land and added it to the pile. Then she stood up, stretching out with a slight wince as she spared a glance toward Stormbringer, wanting to see if she was going to try to catch one more before speaking up.

Stormbringer saw Honeytongue's movement out of the corner of her eye. They had been fishing for a bit of time, though it didn't seem like it at all. That was one thing about fishing, it took a lot of time to achieve but it always never seemed as long as it actually was. One more catch should be enough. If they remained out here too much longer then Ivybrook would definitely be sending out a search party for them.

Amber eyes scanned the water, paying no mind to the gray that reflected back. The gray warrior waited again, this time itching to catch one more. Her patience worn down from the fact that the other warrior seemed ready to leave. But she couldn't rush this. If she did, she would miss. Finding the one fish that wandered close enough, she flashed a paw into the water once again.

Another fish, the last fish, was added to the pile. Standing and stretching from the stiff position, the warrior turned to Honeytongue. "I'm assuming it's time to go?"

Honeytongue gave a soft nod of her head as her friend's question, smiling softly despite the throbbing pain in her shoulder. "Yeah, its going to be enough of a trek just trying to get these fishes home...And I should let Mistlepaw check out my shoulder," she added with a soft wince. She paused as she looked down at their pile of fish, knowing that it would take maybe two treks to carry them. She leaned down, picking up two of the smaller ones carefully before she motioned for Stormbringer to do the same before heading back to camp, happy by their harvest...Even if she was a bit sore.

Stormbringer nodded at her friends words. "You know I can take care of coming back to get the rest of the fish. You can go ahead and have your shoulder checked. Besides, gives me a reason to come back and make sure the Raccoon is gone." The gray warrior said. Quickly she grabbed two of the fish by their tail fins before joining her friend in the walk back to camp.
