Burningsun hadn't been herself. Who wouldn't be different after taking a life in her jaws? She flip-flopped from emotion to emotion. Thought to thought, as if she was a fish flapping on the river bank desperately trying to find the direction of the water to take it to safety. One second she was in love, and feeling happy. The next she saw Tinystar, or red, or her paws and she was thrown back into that day and angry, ready to pounce and fight. Hawkstrike would be disappointed in her. She had pointedly avoided the tom that had trainer her in more... ruthless fighting tactics. In fact, she avoided almost everyone. After the trial, she was dead convinced that Mintwhisker, Tinystar, or their followers would kill her. Spottedleap... Something dark was in his pelt.

The trees were one of her only sol stance. She perched on a branch now. Honestly, she probably was hanging into ThunderClan territory but she didn't care. She wanted to leave her territory and the clan, just for a little bit. Up here, she was probably hidden. Perhaps she could argue that she hadn't realized the branch was hanging into the territory. Oh well...

But when she saw the other cat, she didn't know what came over her. Rage. Anger. Fury. Suddenly, she had a target to focus that fear on. To sink her claws into. It occurred to her about how hypocritical it was, but she didn't care. Silently, she launched herself down onto the ThunderClan warrior.

A regular patrol. Checking the SkyClan border had become a task that was not generally fought over, but Ferretnose wasn't afraid of them. She rolled her eyes as she re-marked the border. She hadn't the faintest idea why nobody had come with her. It wasn't like those birdbrains would do anything... they couldn't even defend their clanmate from their puny leader's claws. At least there was one good cat in that clan. She hadn't seen Swallowflight from a close range since their battle at the border, if it could even be called that. He was a good tom.

The wind was knocked out of her instantly with a light shake in the trees. A pair of ginger paws slammed on both sides of her body, and when she looked up, a young she-cat had the nerve to be attacking her out of nowhere! Unfortunately for the SkyClan cat, Ferretnose had the upper hand: she was a husky cat, and she was not easily pinned.

"Why, you little-!" she grunted as she rolled out from under the cat's legs and clamped her jaws down on the cat's scruff. With all of her power, she shook the ginger cat around, using her bulky legs for leverage as she whipped her opponent around. As she let go and caught her breath, she considered calling for help. She had time, and there were clanmates mere foxlengths away. Her clouded eye, the anxiety of losing... No. Ferretnose lifted her head and sniffed. The force of the hit had caused her nose to bleed. It was nothing dear Mossbloom couldn't fix, of course. She wasn't going to let some punk get away with this, and she certainly wasn't going to hide behind a bigger, quicker-thinking warrior. "Is it Tinystar's new policy to attack first, ask questions later? Not very smart of you!"

Ferretnose used Scruff Shake, dealing 5 damage and costing 25 stamina. Burningsun is stunned for 2 turns.
