It's COLD!

Hawkpaw woke up shivering. She looked around. A thin sheet of clear crystal frost was everywhere. She stood up out of her nest. The grass crackled beneath her paws. They felt icy cold. She went to go check on the herbs.
She pawed at some of them. Frozen solid?! Oh no, Mistyriver isn't going to like that... She went to wake up Mistyriver. "Wake up, Mistyriver!" She mewed. "The herbs are frozen!"

Mistyriver opened her eyes, "looks like we'll ned to go looking for more herbs, "she mewed grimly,


OoC: WOW! just this morning we had the first snow of the year in rl!... (and thankfully, it's late this year) hopefuly it'll melt off tho..

Pinespirit woke up and yawned. Hawkpaw and Mistyriver were chatting. Hawkpaw seemed troubled-- the look on her face gave it away. She got up and stepped outside. White frost scattered all over, and she snatched her paw back. What is this? she thought. She set her paw back down, and shuddered. Cold Pinespirit slowly walked over to Mistyriver and Hawkpaw. She looked like she was marching. "What is this?" she mewed helplessly. The cold was biting at her pads and made them hurt. Pinespirit's thick winter coat was still growing, but some cold sunk in and made her shiver.

Mistyrivers sighed, "it's called frost, pinespirit." she mewed, "it comes with leafbare, get used to it"

OoC: wouldn't you know what frost is? ::P:

ooc: nope ;-; pineh has never seen frost.

ic: "Sorry. I feel like a fool not knowing. I've just never seen this before." she ran to get into the safety and warmth of the warriors den. She huddled in the corner.

Mudpuddle walked out of the warriors den, he felt the cold frosty air, "Finally, we dont have to leave camp and go get water for the kits." He took a bite out of the grass and spit it out. It was way to cold for him to chew on it. He than saw his mate and ran over there. "Hello Pinespirit" he meowed, "do like the frost on ground." Mudpuddle loved the snow and frost.
He remebered when he was a kit and and he got his tong stuck to an icicle. "Those were the good days" he thought

"Um.. yeah. Uh.. it's great. It's okay. Cold. I need to get used to it a bit, though, Mudpuddle." Pinespirit licked her cold pads. They were wet down. Frozen water. How lovely.. she thought to herself frustratedly. She stood up and stretched. "I hope the river isn't frozen, too?"

"I don't think it is yet, Leaf bare didn't officially start yet" Mudpuddle meowed

Bluestar yawned at stretched. She took a breath in, her nose freezing as she did so. She padded out of her den, her leaf-bare coat already fully grown.

"Hello Bluestar" Mudpuddle meowed when he saw her. "How was your sleep."

Mistyriver dipped her head to her sister "good morning" she mewed, "a little cold, isn't it?"

OoC: but... in real warriors, cats have normally been through like, 2 leaf bares before there warriors..

She dipped her head. "Good, and your's?" She mewed to Mudpuddle.
She turned to Mistyriver. "Yes. Leaf-bare is here.." She murmured.

OOC: It's weird being in RC after reading the books. All the other clans starve, but RC has the most prey ^^ ><

ooc: i guess pine's almost a year old! ^^ (which is 7 in cat yrs xD)

"Great" Mudpuddle meowed. "I love leaf bare, i like runnig around in the snow and walking on the icy water of the river.

"I'm more like a Leaf Fall cat, or a New Leaf cat..." Hawkpaw mewed. "I don't like the cold, I don't like the extreme warm either." Hawkpaw gave a lick to her freezing paws. "Sure the frost on the ground is pretty, but It's very cold. I don't like it."
