This Feels Strangely Familiar...

Scorchstar yawned and stretched out each of his limbs as he slipped out of the leader's den, then shook out his bushy black fur, ruffling it up to protect himself against the chilly leaf-bare morning. A very thin blanket of snow stretched across the camp, and he could just see it continuing out into the marshy forest into ShadowClan territory through the camp entrance past the thorn barrier. Well, time to start another day of training.

He padded over to the apprentices' den and poked his broad head inside, watching the slow rising and falling of multicolored pelts all cuddled together to keep warm. It was rather comforting, almost bad touch, to watch young cats sleep. They just seemed so at peace in their slumber. He couldn't help but be reminded of his own children, when they were no older than kits still cuddled up close to Minnowcall's belly for warmth and food. Stars, so much has changed since his eldest son Liontail was but a kit by his mother's side.

Deciding to continue padding down memory lane another day as there was work to be done, he found the pelt of his first of three apprentices and gently called, "Nettlepaw, it's time to wake up. There's training to be done today." Poking his head out from the mouth of the den, he then approached the camp entrance to sit and wait.
