Flintkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cat's old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" Wildstrike called out. His first apprentice ceremony, he felt his heart pounding in his chest as he felt a mix of excitement and fear. He stood on the Jaggedrock and looked out over camp. Scared that he would mess up but also excited to do this.

He looked around the crowd for the brown kit that were gonna become a apprentice today, he had been thinking back and forth while deciding who were gonna mentor the kit and had finally made up his mind, he took a deep breath and smiled for himself.

There was a bustle of noise outside of the nursery. The young brown tom poked his head out of the nursery entrance to see what was going on. Flintkit decided to join the commotion and exited the nursery. He found a place in the center of the crowd and waited to see what the tom on top of the rock had to say.

"Flintkit, step forward." he meowed, he then waited a few moments to give the young tom time to step forward. Once the kit stood infront of the Jaggedrock he continued "You have reached the age of six moons and it's time for you to be apprenticed. Flintkit, from this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Flintpaw. Mapleshine will be your mentor. I know she'll be able to pass down everything she knows to you.". He looked down onto Flintpaw with a smile.

Mapleshine could not contain her smile as she heard when she could apprentice her own son. Her first apprentice and it would be such a good one! She walked over to Flintkit and touched his nose.
"I am sure you will make a great warrior, I will make sure of that".

The newly named apprentice moved towards his mother in a quick fashion. He touched noses with her and bowed his head. He was excited to begin training and especially with his mother.
