Little Warrior {open!}

A chill had settled down in the camp, the fall slowly leaning into winter. Yet, for one of the kittens in the nursery, the chill is all that she has known. Not that she cared, because her thick fur kept her warm against the cold air. The calico kitten leaped from the protective gap that was the entrance to the nursery. Splotchkit tore across the camp as fast as her tiny paws could take her, blue eyes set on the large den made to shelter warriors. She was going to be a warrior, so she might as well get comfortable, right?

The kitten wiggled her way through the den walls, and spun back around, peering out of the den with blue eyes glittering with excitement. Her tail stuck straight up, the tricolor pattern waving as she waddled closer to the edge so she could see out into the camp.

Morningpaw had been looking across the clearing from her den when she spotted a small figure dart from the nursery into the warrior's den. The medicine cat giggled and got up from her spot. She placed down the herbs she had been holding for a while and padded over to where the warriors reside at night. The tortie noticed a pair of bright blue eyes peeking back at the camp from a corner. Morningpaw purred and walked up to the calico fur ball. "Hi there! What are you doing in here?" asked the medicine cat apprentice.

Blazeflight's tired gaze shifted just slightly as a small kitten made her way out of the nursery, not fully absorbing the fact that a little one was leaving the protective walls. She stood up and stretched, a large yawn escaping the Queen as her tail grazed the top of the den. After making sure that Vixenkit, Pinekit, and Nettlekit were all okay where she was leaving them, she nodded to the other Queens as she made her way into the center of camp, eyes settling on the Warriors Den with a smile. She'd caught a glimpse of calico fur just across the camp, confirming what she'd expected- Splotchkit had managed to sneak in. Offering a nod to Morningpaw as she sat next down next to her, she shifted her gaze to the small kit in front of her. "Skipping Apprenticeship altogether, eh?"

Splotchkit's ears flicked as the two older cats approached, her hind legs bunching up in a messy attempt at a hunter's crouch. "I'm a warrior!" She chattered boldly, leaping at the medicine cat with kitten-like strength, then tumbling to the ground next to her, gripping at Blazeflight's paws. White legs hung in the air as she rolled onto her backbiting down--though knowing restraint on how strong to play-fight.

Blue eyes flashed gleefully as she leaped back to her feet. "Who needs to be an apprentice when you're this good?" A puffed chest stood out among her already puffy fur, which already had one or two leaves stuck in it. She didn't seem to mind, as she was staring up at the two cats with shocking confidence.

The tortoiseshell female purred as the kit leaped at her. She then smiled at Blazeflight as a return greeting. This kit's mentor will have their paws full. "I'm sure you'll become a warrior quicker than most if you keep up that confidence. However, make sure to look after yourself as I do not want to see you in my den too often. Oh! And do try to think things through before attacking anything. It's important to analyze your opponent so you may know what battle strategy works best." The medicine cat nudged the she-kit with a playful wink before speaking again, "Don't give your mentor too much of a hard time you hear?"
