Pantherpaw's Moonstone Journey

This was stupid. Pricklepaw felt a renewed surge of annoyance as he looked at the prepared bundles of traveling herbs, feeling resentment at them bubble up inside him. He'd never even gone on a Moonstone journey, and now he had to do it for other apprentices around his age. Just two young cats traveling through the forest, in the early dark morning, alone. This was a wonderful idea. Where did it go wrong? Huffing, but knowing that it wouldn't solve the problem he had, the prickly medicine cat apprentice stormed into the apprentices' den and not-so-gently awoke the first apprentice he was scheduled to take. "Get up, Pantherpaw," he meowed under his breath so he wouldn't wake up other cats. "Moonstone time." Not sparing a longing glance for the place next to Ridgepaw where his nest used to be, the fluffy tom padded back out and sat by the herbs to wait.

Pantherpaw's smoky spotted tabby fur prickled at the not so kind awakening but she opened her green eyes standing"I'm up"She muttered following after quietlypadding outside to Pricklepaw making her fur lay flat and smooth as it once was.

Pricklepaw kept all his stress, annoyance and anger inside, only letting his emotions show in a long, slow blink of his eyes. That apprentice had absolutely no right to be annoyed, compared to what he had to go through. This was going to be insufferable every time, wasn't it?... Oh, dear StarClan. "Now just eat these herbs and we can be on our way." He swallowed his own pile of herbs first, growing more used to the once-strange taste. He'd be eating these herbs for the rest of his life, it seemed, so he might as well get used to it.

Pantherpaw didn't mean to be annoyed for the rather sudden wake up call that wasn't too gentle. Told to eat the herbs she did quietly her nose wrinkling at the taste before she flicked her tail ready to go.

Pricklepaw flicked his tail in response to her finishing the herbs, motioning for her to follow them as they walked out of the medicine den and into the early morning darkness. This was going to be a long journey... but he'd have to do it many more times after this. At least Pantherpaw seemed to have the sense to stay silent.

-TIME SKIP-

When they finally reached Mothermouth, the medicine cat apprentice was beginning to be exhausted. How was he supposed to do this almost every day, even with the herbs?! Fighting to stay awake, but giving no outward sign of it, Pricklepaw looked over his shoulder at the she-cat he was leading. "All right, Pantherpaw, we're almost there. Stay close behind me." And with that he darted into the dark tunnels, following them by memory from the two times he'd been there before. He got the sense that soon he would know them like the back of his paw. After two wrong turns, which he recovered from without a word, they finally made it to the Moonstone. He still felt a slight amount of awe as he saw the tall, sparkling crystal, even though he knew it was just a giant stone; it reminded him of StarClan's power. "Now just lay down and press your nose to the stone, and you can dream with StarClan."

She followed him remaining quiet ready to go and see what starclan cat would visit her.  After they had got there and gkt turned around twice she soon saw the glowing moonstone which held her in place for a moment maybe in awe maybe in fear but upon being told to approach the moonstone she padded forward and pressed her pale pink nose against the stone and closed her eyes being whisked into a deep sleep.

Pantherpaw awoke in a starry clearing her green gaze blinked once then twice before a figure started to appear in front of her a silvery spotted she cat with beautiful blue eyes made her way to her."W...who are you?"Pantherpaw asked. "Well...I am your mother dear..I am Orchidfeather and ive been watching you from starclan"Orchidfeather mewed. pantherpaw blinked once then twice tears filling her gaze. For a moment Pantherpaw remained still but then she padded to her mother and Orchidfeather pressed her nose into her daughters fur. They stayed like that for a moment until Orchidfeather spoke"I dont...have long so I'll make this quick... You have your fathers temper but sometimes it isn't needed. Kindness is also a weapon in its own way think about that next time....and try to think before you get into a fight sweetheart. Hopefully one day ill see you again but hopefully not soon I will be watching over you always"Orchidfeather mewed softly slowly fading."Wait...p..please don't go mom..i..i have so many questions"She mewed but her words werent heard as she jolted awake.

She blinked as she let her gaze adjust. The moonstone in front of her. She blinked back tears that had formed in her green eyes before she stood slowly.
