Hunting Patrol for Kestrelpaw [CLOSED]

Froststone quietly sat at the entrance waiting for one of Shadowclan's apprentices, Kestrelpaw. He'd never quite talked to this apprentice before, so now was a chance before they became a warrior. His white pelt was still doused in the red the absence of the sun had brought, and the days were colder than ever before. His fur was becoming quite thick at this point,

Kestrelpaw scampered over to Froststone, ready and eager to go out with the deputy. "Hey! I'm here!" said the excited apprentice.

Froststone watched Kestrelpaw quickly approach. "Alright, today we're going to catch two pieces of prey each before we go back." With that being said, he flicked his tail and they were off.

Slowly padding through the reddened marshes, he scented a frog. Quickly he got down into the hunter's crouch and pounced, nearly missing the small amphibian. Quickly he bit it and buried it to pick up later.

Kestrelpaw was now stalking a nice and plump toad. The apprentice stalked the prey for a few moments before pouncing. The young tom caught the slippery creature with his jaws and then hid it somewhere safe. He then went to go find another creature to catch.

Froststone had quickly smelled another animal, this time a mouse. His blue eyes focused on it for a brief moment before making the pounce that he had done so many times before. Unfortunately, the mouse saw his bright white pelt just before he could pounce. Letting out a squeak of terror, the mouse dove under the pine needles. Froststone would find another one.

Kestrelpaw was fully focused and ready to catch something. Eventually, the apprentice spotted a rather rare rabbit not too far from where he currently stood. He bent down into the hunter's crouch and began to stalk it. He really couldn't miss this! After a few waiting moments, the tom pounced. As if somehow Starclan had blessed him at that moment, he had caught the rabbit. The apprentice killed it quick and then went to grab his toad. He then went to go find the deputy to show what he had caught. Once he did, he placed them down and called, "Look what I caught!"
