Hazel Claws [Closed, Battle Training Topic]

Blizzardshine stretched a bit before walking out of her comfortable den and towards the apprentice’s one, the sun was already up but she hadn’t overslept. Today lesson was bound to be a hard one, to say the least, and she wanted Hazelpaw to have as much energy as possible. She was going to need it.

Careful to not step on the tail of one of the still sleeping apprentices, she walked guided by her nose towards her apprentice’s nest, gently nudging the apprentice with her nose in an attempt to wake her up “Hazelpaw, get up”.

Hazelpaw woke with a grunt as a cold nose pressed against his pelt, the peaceful tranquility of the apprentice den holding him in a deep, dreamless sleep until now. Who was waking him up now? His eyes blinked open, and his irritation mellowed as he saw his mentor peering over him. Stretching, he quickly lifted himself out of his bed, quickly grooming out a few knots in his pelt. He then turned to Blizzardshine.
"Where are we going?" he asked drowsily.

Blizzardshine smile warmly at the younger cat, allowing him to take his time to fully wake up before finally talking “Today we are going to the Sandy Hollow. I’m going to teach you how to fight” This lesson had never been one of Blizzardshine’s favorites, but she knew dead well the importance of it and how knowing how to fight properly could save the life of a cat “Are you ready or do you want something to eat first? This will be a long and heavy lesson, so we will only start it when you feel ready”.

Hazelpaw contemplated for a moment. "I'll eat something first." Grabbing a mouse in his jaws, he began to eat and thought about today's lesson. It sounded important, judging by his mentor's words, and it sounded tough. How would he be able to fight Blizzardshine of all cats, even in fake combat? Would he even be fighting anything today? Though he had thoughts rushing through his head, they weren't of anxiety or fear; rather, a mix of excitement and interest.
Swiftly finishing the rodent, he padded over to Blizzardshine's side, licking his muzzle. Despite having woken up only a few moments ago, his energy was already replenished, and his face was plastered with a wide grin as his paws padded through the dust. "Finished!"
