Prisoner to the Regime (OPEN)

Oh, yes. It’s all starting to come together. Shade had been planning and planning ever since his exile, but now he had the perfect idea for how to get back at Jaystar and RiverClan. He continued ushering the weakened RiverClan warrior Cinderfall into camp until he halted him in front of his dumpster where he made his announcements. Shooting an evil grin at his prisoner, he leaped up onto the black lid of the green Twoleg thing and yowled, ”Cats of the Regime! Assemble!”

Wolf slid in, blue eyes alight with curiosity. She sat in front of the dumpster, tail tucked neatly around her paws, proud to be the first one there. "Who is that Clan cat? Why is he here?"

Cinderfall trudged into the alley, sorrowfully glancing at every cat.

The brown tabby tom watched from afar, scowling at his father. He refused to heed his father's words, yet had been in camp at the time. He spent most time away from this, yet he had to come back occasionally. There were some days where hunting was bad, and he'd fight for his prey that night. Tonight though was special, he saw a prisoner. He smelled like the clan border, he could scent him from there. He was more curious though, which clan had he come from? Was it the one his father had come from? He'd never heard of all that clans, he just knew one. RiverClan. He hated them, and they were the one on the border so it must be a RiverClan cat. He stuck around just to hear what his father had to say. He wasn't big enough to help the RiverClanner escape, he was already clearly weakened. His amber eyes watched the silvery-grey tom pad sorrowfully into the clearing, in front of the metal object he was raised on what felt like so many moons ago.

Chase had been dozing lightly in a corner of the alley when Shade returned. Almost immediately, an unique scent stirred her awake. The dark tabby had returned with company. From the stranger's body language, she could tell clearly that he was a prisoner. Shifting unto her haunches, she took note of his missing ear with interest. While vague, the tom's scent was familiar to her. The image of a small calico she had once fought against flashed through her mind. So that was it. She recognized his scent because he smelt similar. The prisoner was a clan cat.

At Shade's cry, Chase stood and padded over to the dumpster. How had the Regime leader managed to capture a clan cat? Interest glimmered within her chartreuse-colored eyes. Said clan cat appeared greatly weakened and in no state to fight. Subconsciously, she scanned the alley for Dante to see if he was present. She supposed Shade would soon make his purposes clear.

Dante looked with wide eyes at the clan cat, it was clear that the cat didn't want to be here. He glanced at Shade with a hint of fright in his eyes, yes he were scared of the leader, he just felt that Shade was the kind of cat who would do everything to get his way and his way only. He looked around the bunch of cats, easily sorting out Chase from them. He shot another glance towards the clan cat before slowly making his way towards Chase.

He sat down by the ginger she-cats sid and stared quietly onto the ground, he felt pity for the clan cat but there was nothing he could do... Being too soft would only hurt him, atleast that was what Chase had told him and he trusted her, she was probably the only cat he trusted here as it was right now.

Satisfied to see he had every cat's attention -- wait. "Canren, get over here or so help me, I will drag you over myself!" His tail flicked irritably. He really wished his son didn't inherit Sweet's softness.

With a growly huff, he turned his attention to the gathered cats. "The cat you see before you is a Clan cat that I have captured, a cat from RiverClan. He is also the son of RiverClan's leader, Jaystar. I plan on using this information to my advantage, to overthrow Jaystar and gain control over RiverClan. With you all by my side, we will easily trump those fat fish-faces and drive them out, allowing us to live the way nature had intended cats to live. This will be but the first step to my plan; soon we will have access to all territories to suit each cat's individual needs and desires. The time of the Clans is quickly running short. It is time for the cats they have cast aside as savage and cruel with no morale to deliver karmic retribution."

Wolf's tail flicked in anticipation and smiled. She might only be a kit, but the downfall of a Clan meant as much to her as any cat here. Her smile faded, however, when she remembered she wasn't quite old enough to help fight yet. One more moon, then I can battle. Until then, I'll help around the camp.

Cinderfall was shocked. How could Shade use him for the downfall of Riverclan? His heart dropped as he realized. He was Jaystar's son. Shade was going to use him to get to Jaystar. He tried not to cry. He had to get out, he had to... The young one Canren seemed a bit more like a Clan cat. Maybe he'd find help there. But until then, this was his home. It sure wasn't pretty.

An slid off of a trash can, her elegant tortoiseshell pelt contrasting starkly to the dirty black container. The queen of this land, the mate to Shade, was not standing over her enemies hysterically laughing, but rather looking at the newcomer with a gentle curiosity as if meeting a friendly acquaintance for the first time. "You got a prisoner? Hm," her voice was rather neutral, though tinged with mild disapproval. She still remembered vividly when she herself was a prisoner to this same group. "The clan cats are going to figure out pretty soon, but I doubt they'll do anything," she noted in the same passive tone. She walked around the tabby prisoner and inspected him. He was in fairly poor shape, several open wounds from whatever incident ended with him captured. 'I should probably treat those soon,' she thought, remembering with a wince how horrid it felt to have stagnant, infected wounds for moons. She didn't know any herbs, but she could remember seeing a clump of plants growing in a corner somewhere that smelled like the healing stuff the Vet used to give her. Those'll probably work. She didn't think she would be allowed to treat a prisoner, but she would probably be able to convince her mate to let her.


Once she was done analyzing the prisoner, she turned back to Shade. "Should she be housed anywhere specific, or should we just have her sleep with the rest of us?" she chirruped calmly, not fazed by the intimidating tom.

Canren's pelt bristled as his father called him over. The long-haired tail lashed, yet he said nothing. He only moved a few pawsteps closer, just to spite him. All he got was angrier as his father spoke. He had taken a leader's son. He couldn't imagine that his father would be angry if he were taken, he was almost positive his father wouldn't care. This gray tabby tom was wounded, clearly scared, and using him to get to this Jaystar was downright despicable. He longed to help but feared for his own safety as well. He wouldn't last long if his father were angry at him, he was sure of that. His body language was the pure form of annoyance, as his father stopped talking he began padding away. He'd have to watch the clan cat to make sure he wasn't hurt too much more. The clan cat probably couldn't take much more anyway.

ic: Cinderfall didn't like this odd she-cat inspecting him like a piece of prey. It unsettled him, but he was too tired to care.

It seemed that the relationship between Shade and Canren was steadily growing worse. Chase shot the younger of the two toms a perfunctory glance before returning her attention to the Regime leader. As she had thought, the prisoner was a clan cat. After all that talk about driving the clans out, action was finally going to be taken. The thought was rather entertaining. She did not care much for Shade or his so-called "justice." She was the only one she really cared about. As long as the dark brown tabby continued to prove himself interesting, she would follow him.

Dante looked at the clan cat in horror, Shade would use that cat the gain control over one of the clans! He looked at the clan cat and could just imagine what that cat felt, he slowly opened his mouth to say something but quickly shut it and looked down, wondering how Shade would use that cat, he wouldn't kill him? Right?.. The tought of it made him feel sick, Shade wouldn't kill a cat just to gain power, or would he?.. He prayed that he wouldn't but part of him wasn't sure at all what to think.

"As he is a prisoner, he will be treated as such," Shade responded to his mate. "I will be sure to make certain he cannot flee back to the Clans easily. Chase, you can keep guard of him where he is kept in that knocked over garbage can on the other side of the clearing. He is not to leave this place under any circumstances." He shifted his gaze to his loyal daughter. "Xuexi, keep an eye on Canren. Make sure he doesn't try to break Cinderfall out as I know he will." He shot his son an angry glare. He shouldn't have to distrust his own kin like this, but he was left with no other choice.
