The Cruel Kit's Training [SOLO] Empty
PostSubject: The Cruel Kit's Training [SOLO]   The Cruel Kit's Training [SOLO] EmptySat 15 Sep 2018 - 18:37

Canren padded far from where the rest of The Regime were camped. He would come back every once and a while to see his mother, not that he spoke much to her. More just to see she was still there. Occasionally he spotted his father stalking around, usually accompanied by Xuexi. Other than that the only times he went back were to sleep, and even then he came back under the cover of night and slept under the dumpster, while the rest of his family slept above. He wasn't scared to face his father, he just knew he wasn't ready. If he were to try and battle his father he would surely perish. He would abandon them as soon as he was trained. Even if nobody would train him. He'd train himself. Once again before dawn had set in he had padded off to unknown parts of the Twoleg place. These places were closer to the tree line of the forest, but he made sure not to ever get too close to the scent barriers.

Once he approached his usual place for training himself, he scented the air. He made sure no cats or twolegs had been there recently, that would simply spell trouble for him. Thankfully he was alone. The sun was beginning to lighten the dark sky and the air was slowly getting warmer. The frost on the grass around him would soon dissipate. He was hungry, he'd have to try to hunt for himself later. Sometimes he watched his father train Xuexi from afar to learn their tactics. Usually, it was fighting, but thankfully he had seen him training her in hunting. From what he had seen, he needed to scent the air and crouch down quite low. Then it was approaching the prey and pouncing. Seemed simple enough, he was sure it was hard to master though. He padded off into the small bit of forest that wasn't inhabited by the clans and began hunting.

The sun had finally risen when Canren had gotten back to his training spot. He had caught one mouse, after about what he felt was 40 tries. He believed he finally understood the hunting technique. He just had to master it soon. Now it was time for fighting. Of course every time he came back and spotted Shade and Xuexi from afar they were fighting. Either "play" fighting or Shade was teaching. Of course, play fighting was usually claws out. It sickened him to watch his father go against his sister, even if it wasn't to kill. Nevertheless, he had memorized some of the things he saw. Therefore he practiced on a tree. There wasn't much for him to practice on and he needed the dead prey he had for food.

He swung his paw at the already scratched off tree bark, flinging another chunk. He hit it again, then again, in a loop. As he did it he just got angrier at his circumstances. He remembered drinking out of a puddle and seeing the scars his father had left on his face. How could he do that to his son? Did he have no honor! Clearly not. He didn't even know how he knew about the notion of honor, his parents never taught him that. Perhaps instinctual. Soon he stopped ripping at the tree as he had realized he had gotten rid of the bark on the tree, leaving nothing but deep scratches on it and sap. He snarled at it as if that would make him feel better. He backed away, eyes wide as he realized what he had done. He had gotten angry, and look what he did! He couldn't stop himself! Not only does his family hate him, but he can't even control his own anger. He sighed, climbing the tree. He looked down upon the little bit of Twoleg place he could see, then the forest. He needed to get to the clans, or risk dying by the claws of his father. He was only afraid of the clans not accepting him, his father had hurt them deeper than words could. He ripped off a cats leg! He killed innocent cats! If he came to them seeking shelter, they would turn him away because of his heritage and perhaps their fear of not only Shade coming for them, but for the Shade inside of him. He'd have to do it eventually though. Not tonight.

He looked back up at the sky, seeing darkness seeping into the sky. It was time to return home. He leaped off of the tree, landing, of course, on his feet. He took one last look at the forest, buried his prey, and starting padding back to the dumpster. He would get to the clans someday, he was sure of it.
