She could hardly move. After being slammed back down to the ground again, already-spinning head dealt another crushing blow that made her start seeing stars, she didn't have any idea what she was doing any more. Her belly was torn open and still bleeding, and her head was so knocked-up that she could hardly think straight, let alone see. The bloodthirsty monster was about to get his wish- she doubted she could take any more hits without collapsing on the ground and never getting up again. Blackness crept in the edges of her swirling vision, and every simple movement- just the twitch of a paw- caused spasms of major agony. Only the thought of her kits kept her from just giving up and letting unconsciousness swallow her in its cold, dark embrace. Her kits were in danger. Her kits were in danger. If she didn't stop this tom, he would kill them! Flurrypaw, Meadowpaw, Milkpaw, all of them! With a whimper of pain, Snowblossom used every last vestige of strength in her exhausted, bleeding body to slash at Shade's face again, tearing open a new wound in his cheek. Half-raised on her paws, snow-white fur soaked in her own blood, the wounded she-cat's agonized green eyes stared up into the rogue's, determined to stop this tom- even if it was the last thing she ever did.

The tom barely flinched at the rather feeble attack, though he still felt the sting quite well. He grinned down evilly at Snowblossom and raised his own paw to slash his claws across the side of her head, causing the thudding in her head to intensify. He bent down to whisper into her ear. "It's all over now, Snowy. But don't worry, I'll be sure to give a good word for you when I kill your kits." He stood back up and began stalking towards the direction of RiverClan camp.

Lakewhisper had been wanting to go out hunting with Snowblossom, but he couldn’t seem to find her anywhere in camp. After asking around, it seemed that nobody knew where she had gone, but eventually Turtlepaw informed him that she was out taking a walk. With a slight sigh of relief and a quick nuzzle of his daughter’s cheek, he turned and entered their gorgeous territory. The sky’s pinks and oranges were calming and created a sense of tranquility across RiverClan territory. The fluffy white tabby tom had a slight smile across his face as he followed his mates familiar, sweet scent when suddenly the heart-stopping scent of blood basically smacked him in the face. His hackles rose instinctively and as he neared closer to Snowblossom, the louder the sounds of fighting got.

His panicked amber gaze turned hard as stone at the scene before him. Shade hunkered over his obviously defeated mate, her beautiful snowy white fur now tattered and stained red with blood. “You better back off Shade.” He growled through clenched teeth, his barely contained anger burning in his piercing amber gaze. Without giving the rogue a chance at a smart remark, Lakewhisper let out a blood-curdling yowl of fury before launching himself at the foolish rogue. “Now. Unless you want to killed you mangy piece of fox-dung!”

Shade's head whipped up suddenly at the new voice, and he spotted Snowblossom's mate charging at him. He didn't have time to brace himself before Lakewhisper tackled him and pinned him to the ground. He was weakened from the battle with Snowblossom, but he still had a bit of fight within him yet.

He lowered his body and twisted himself right out of Lakewhisper's grip, wincing at the claw marks left behind in his struggles, though he was still able to give his forepaw a sharp nip as he escaped his grasp. "You're gonna have to try a little harder than that if you want to keep me away from your precious kits, Lakey!"

Shade used Duck and Twist on Lakewhisper, dealing 5 damage and costing 25 stamina.

Lakewhisper let out a hiss of frustration as Shade twisted out of his grasp. "You leave my kits out of this, rogue." He growled, eyes glowing dangerously. Never before had the fluffy white tom been this angry. Lakewhisper grunted his satisfaction though as he brought his massive paws down onto the former RiverClan tom's head, finishing the fight. The tabby tom thought for a split-second about killing the tom right then and there, but one glance over at Snowblossom changed his mind. He couldn't waste any more time with him. He needed to get her to Goldeneye, quick. "Get out of here, Shade, and never come back." His hissed in the defeated rogue's ear, voice dripping with malice, before leaving him to help Snowblossom to her paws.

Shade grunted in defeat as he was knocked right back to the ground. He struggled to get back up, but his head was far too dizzy to continue the battle, even after giving it a few good shakes to try and clear it. He growled lowly, his tail twitching irritably. "You can't keep me out of RiverClan forever, you know. I'll be back, and perhaps next time I will catch one of your precious kits off guard." With that, he turned and began racing out of his former home's territory towards the direction of Twolegplace.
