Kestrelkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Swiftstep hopped up onto the Tallrock. Despite this only being his second time addressing the clan, the deputy was fairly confident. Another kit was ready to leave the nursery behind to begin their training to become Windclan's next warrior. The tom put on his serious face before beginning. His heart was joyful for this lucky young cat. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather underneath the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!" Swiftstep called with an authoritative tone.

Kestrelkit emerged, ears perked with curiosity as she stared at Swiftstep before taking a seat below Tallrock. Excitement sparked in her eyes, waiting to hear if this could be her apprentice ceremony.

The brown tom looked down at Kestrelkit with a warm gaze before continuing, "We all gather here today to make one of our kits an apprentice. Kestrelkit, please step forward." Once the kit did, the deputy nodded approvingly with a small smile and then began to speak again, "Kestrelkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Kestrelpaw. Jayflight will be your mentor. I trust that he will pass down everything he knows on to you."

Kestrelpaw couldn't help but grin, a loud purr vibrating through her body. She hoped her father would be proud, and that Jayflight would help her to become a successful warrior

Jayflight moved towards his new apprentice. He touched her nose and nodded to Swiftstep.
