Mapleleaf padded softly, behind the rest. She guided Rainpaw from behind, making sure he didn't bump into anything. Once they were inside the cavern with the Moonstone, she walked up and settled down. Then the sand-tabby pressed her nose to it, ready to meet and speak with her starry ancestors.
The medicine cat awoke in Starclan. A place she had been in numerous times. She sat down and curled her tail around her paws. She mentally prepared herself to hear bad news. Starclan usually told her the bad news. She was used to it. If it wasn't going to destroy her clan completely, then she could handle it.
A figure began to form from the stars. Soon it began to walk toward the medicine cat. "Mapleleaf." she greeted with nod and a slight smile. Mapleleaf's eyes widened as she realized it was her old mentor, Honeyspark. "Honeyspark. What news do you bring me?" she asked softly. She noticed the other cat's discomfort. "Mapleleaf, Cherrypaw will wandering down a path that will lead her to great sorrow and distress. Beware the moss by the River for it will trap her in a black web of pain. Mapleleaf, keep an eye on your clan-mate. On all of then. Their hearts may lie somewhere else." she said as her body began to fade. The medicine cat closed her eyes, repeating everything Honeyspark had said to her in her mind as she was brought back to the stone.
The she-cat awoke. Eyes showing unclear emotions as she got up and waited for Rainpaw to awake.
