Lionkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather beneath the tallbranch for a clan meeting!" Dandeliondapple's kit was ready to be an apprentice. He would be one of the first few the young leader named. This fact did not thrill or impress Rippedstar. Rather, he held the same neutral expression as the last few. Once this was done, they would have another cat on the way to warrior training. And that was what mattered to him, getting it done and going back to his den. He waited to find the little tom before continuing on.

Lionpaw padded confidently from by the fresh-kill pile to the middle of the clearing near the Tallbranch. Food can wait till after the ceremony, if it means becoming a warrior faster! He sat down with a blaze of determination in his eyes

There he was. Time to get this over with. Finally, he broke the silence as cats settled down, "Today with gather to watch a kit begin their training. Lionkit has reached six moons and is ready to start on the path of becoming a warrior. Lionkit, please step forward." Rippedstar watched with dull-blue as he waited for his adoptive daughter's kit come to the front of the group, "From this day until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Lionpaw. Although he is young, Blazingfire is a smart and skilled warrior. He will be your mentor." The black and white leader nodded towards the warrior and apprentice alike. As the calls rang out in the air, cheering for him, Rippedstar meowed a quick 'congratulations' to the pair before disappearing into his den.

OOC: Um, you probably didn't know this since all my cats are behind, but Blazefire is Lion's brother, so i hate to take the opportunity from him, but Lion should probably have a different mentor?
