Silverpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Ashstar leapt onto the Tallrock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!"

Silverpaw walked out of the elder's den. He had been helping around camp, doing errands and doing some cleaning. He sat down exhausted and looked up at Ashstar. Maybe this would be an apprentice ceremony? Or some news but in that case, he hoped it was good news.

Ashstar looked down at the apprentice, pride in her gaze. "We gather here today to make one of our apprentices a warrior. Silverpaw, please step forwards." Once the tom did, she continued with the ceremony. "I, Ashstar, leader of WindClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn. Silverpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Silverpaw jumped up, excitement flowing through his tall body. He did as Ashstar told him to and then listened as the leader repeated the sacred words as she had done countless times. His deep blue eyes sparkled with life. He looked energized and ready to recieve his warrior name. "I do." he said with endless confidence. The tom held up his head as he waited patiently.

Ashstar nodded. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Silverpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Silverstreak. StarClan honors your persistence and intelligence, and we welcome you as a full warrior of WindClan." The leader leapt down and rested her muzzle on top of the new warrior's head, finishing the ceremony with a respectful smile.

"Silverstreak! Silverstreak!" Nectarleap cried out jubilantly. Another one of his appprentices was now a warrior.
