Smokewish growled, ready to attack again, when she felt claws pierce her eye. With a terrible screech, she stumbled backwards, barely even noticing her other wounds as all her pain refocused on that one point. She squeezed her eye tight shut as white-hot agony exploded in that side of her face, and it was all she could do not to yowl out again. One paw flew to her injured eye and came away slick with blood. "What have you done?" She wailed, fear and pain in every syllable as her uninjured eye stared wide and horror-filled at Violetfall. Her vision was blurring rapidly, her heart dancing a light and speedy rhythm. Smokewish shook her head, blood flying everywhere and staining the ground. She whimpered and backed away even further, her paw never leaving her eye. She tried to assess how much damage had been done, and based on pain, it was alot.

Birchpaw immediately turned his head to Smokewish as she let out a blood curdling yowl. He bright yellow stared in horror as he saw blood streaming from her eye. "Smokewish! Are you Ok?" He yowled. His anger suddenly turned into fury, and he narrowed his eyes at the the Riverclan Apprentice. He would go help Smokewish as soon as he finished off this weak little apprentice. He Growled and let out a battle cry as he flung himself as Hazelpaw. "Maybe You should Keep an eye on your own apprentice as well!" He Yowled to VioletFall as he climbed underneath of Hazelpaw. He got on his back and started scoring unsheathed claws along her stomach.

Violetfall was torn. Should she apologize, and help her enemy? Surely, the RiverClanners wouldn't appreciate it. Her only other option was to keep fighting until they were beaten. Breathing heavily, she lashed out with her paw once more, catching Smokewish's shoulder with her claws. "Don't tresspass on ThunderClan territory!" she cried. The look of fear and pain in her opponent's good eye was so overwhelming that the grey she-cat broke eye contact.

Hazelpaw looked from the RiverClan apprentice to Violetfall, who appeared to have subdued the other warrior, although it was hard to tell from all the blood. She backed away, slowly at first, but sped up and turned around. With the state she was in, she knew she would be no more use against him, and the only thing she could accomplish by staying was getting herself killed. Her pelt was crossed with scratches and tiny drops of blood flew from her fur she ran back to the safety of ThunderClan territory.

Smokewish whimpered softly. Her opponent’s claws slashed her shoulder, and that was about all the could take. Her knees buckled and her legs gave way as the ground came up to meet her. Smokewish’s head hit the earth with a little thud. The pain had in no way subsided, but now a new emotion came bubbling to the surface. Rage. She thought of how much this ThunderClaner would pay. The young warrior tried to get to her paws, but it was hard. She finally rose into a standing position, glaring at Violetfall. She staggered fowards a couple steps before the dizziness became overwhelming and she fell again. Ugh. She hated looking weak! She stood up again, taking care not to move too much, and sunk her unsheathed claws into the earth to keep herself upright. She glared at the mouse-brained squirrel-muncher. Surely they had enough sense to know she couldn’t fight? They wouldn’t hit her again.

"Yeah, Run you little Kittypet!, Birchpaw called after the the Thunderclan Apprentice. He turned his head to Smokewish and saw how he was staggering. Birchpaw quickly acted and rushed to Smokewish's side, supporting her. She obviously wasn't going to able to fight any more. He turned to Violetfall and shouted, "Back Off you Fox-heart! Can't you see she can barely stand?" He pointed his tail toward her bleeding eye.
