Not All Hope Is Lost [Open for WindClan]

Blizzardstar walked with firm steps and a determined gaze towards the camp that belonged to her allied clan, a bundle of herbs tightly grasped in her muzzle. She was leading a small patrol consisting of two warriors, an apprentice and her medicine cat, all of which also carried some herbs.

She had reacted as quickly as possible to the call for help her dear friend Ashstar had sent on her direction after RiverClan’s attack. She had to admit she felt a bit ashamed for not being able to bring even more to the clan of the moors after the terrible loss they had suffered by the claws of Ivystar and her warriors not long ago, given ThunderClan’s own struggles to find prey and herbs after the devastating fire they had to endure. All of their herbs and prey stolen, part of their territory lost…Blizzardstar’s opinion of the leader of RiverClan was already somewhat bad, but after she had known of what she had done here…

If she hadn’t declared war already was only because of the deal done and the fact that her clan was still weakened after the terrible loss they suffered against RiverClan as well and the cruel Leafbare that they were somehow getting through…but once Newleaf arrived and her clan recovered the lost strength another tale would be told.

The fluffy white leader padded inside the camp and walked towards the middle before placing the herbs down, quiet as she waited for her clanmates to catch up with her and the warriors of WindClan to react to their arrival.

A strange scent hit Sparkpaw's nose. Suddenly, he was aware of the presence of strange cats. He recognized the strange scent as ThunderClan scent. He knew they were allies of WindClan, but still, what were they doing in their camp? Then he spotted the herbs that the ThunderClan cats were carrying. Were they here to help them?

Fernkit's eyes widened at the strange new cats. Then she purred loudly and rushed out of the nursery, kneading the ground excitedly to keep herself in place. Maybe these new cats were going to join WindClan and play with her! "Hi! Who are you? Are you here to join WindClan? We love new friends! Please say yes, please say yes!"

Acornpaw was giving herself a nice, thorough wash with her tongue when she suddenly heard pawsteps coming toward the camp. She opened her mouth to scent the air... ThunderClan? She padded farther into the clearing to get a better look at what was going on. Her fur bristled at first, but flattened when she saw they were carrying herbs. 
She attempted to catch Blizzardstar's gaze to give her a nod of respect and thanks. Sure, she didn't know what was going on, but this didn't look anything like an ambush. After all, the two clans were both in a very bad state right now. They couldn't break this alliance now.

Willowpaw cuffed Fernkit on the ear. "That's Blizzardstar, featherbrain! She's the leader of Thunderclan! She's here to help us, but we are allied so I guess that counts as friends. Heck, I'll be your friend!"

Fernkit's soft green eyes grew wide with amazement as she stared at Blizzardstar in a new light -- only to become distracted by Willowpaw's other words. "You'll be my friend? Yay! Now I have WindClan friends and ThunderClan friends! This is the best day ever!"

"What's going on?" Nectarleap would be lying if he said that he wasn't confused. Why was Blizzardstar and a few ThunderClanners marching into camp like they owned the place? Not that he was concerned, they were allies after all, but he wanted answers. Willowpaw was most likely right that she was there to help. His son was rather smart.

Slipping through the small crowd, Brindlewhisker tried to force away any of the lingering stiffness and aches within her body as she strode to meet Blizzardstar. Wariness gleamed upon the scarred she-cat's face as she caught sight of the small bundle of herbs that rested at the opposing Leader's paws. Although the thought of accepting charity from another Clan made her fur bristle slightly, she knew that her pride was at fault in this situation. Even if ThunderClan was just as worse for wear in the long run, her Clanmates desperately needed these herbs. Reaching out with a gentle forepaw to pin Fernkit's tail to the earth, Brindlewhisker's gaze met Blizzardstar's once more. "And what's this, Blizzardstar?"

Laurelsong looked up from where she was grooming beside the prey-pile when she caught the scent of ThunderClan, and jumped to her paws when she realized that a whole patrol was bursting into the camp.  Curling her lip slightly in a wary disdain, she stood up to stand beside Necterleap, her gaze glittering cautiously.  When she saw the herbs in their jaws though, she relaxed a bit.  She simply meowed;  "They have herbs." before sitting down next to her friend.  She would watch how this would play out.

Shadepaw walked up to the other apprentices, completely missing whats going on. She was but only a kit when the attack had happened on Windclan. She narrowed her eyes. Why is thunderclan here? She wondered, looking at the cats who had just entered camp. She got her answer as she saw The small patrol of cats holding herbs. She softened her eyes and sat down to groom herself.

Dustcloud, with a serious look on her face, ran into WindClan camp right behind Blizzardstar. Her fur was a mess and her eyes were tired, but the thick bundle of herbs she carried was more important to herself, Blizzardstar, and her Clan than her rest was. Her small muzzle couldn't carry as much as Blizzardstar or Mapleleaf could, but the silvery she-cat had brought as much as she could and as quickly as her legs would allow her. Not much could get in the way of the small delivery patrol at that point, she just hoped that they could get there in time to help heal WindClan's warriors and apprentices. As soon as she arrived in the foreign camp behind Blizzardstar, she dropped the rather large bundle of herbs beside that of her leader's. As she gazed around at all the exhausted, bleeding WindClan cats, she suddenly felt fortunate when she realized just how lucky her Clan was to not have lost as much as WindClan did.

Not much could be done for the aching cuts and wounds that WindClan now carried, what with all of their herbs and freshkill taken by RiverClan fish-faces. Mottleheart had definitely struggled with finding new herbs, especially so when taking into consideration that most of WindClan's good territories now belonged to Ivystar. Featherlight had run around camp constantly, and the whole Clan had experienced one of the worst leaf-bares to date. Gustpuddle sat near what was left of the fresh-kill pile, her joints and muscles aching and a headache starting to bloom. She hardly looked up as a ThudnerClan patrol came into camp, but it was only when she saw the herbs that the small patrol set down that she got up. Were those meant for WindClan?

Silentstrike's fur bristled slightly at the sound of several cats entering WindClan camp, and he jumped to his paws immediately. His gaze rested on the piles of herbs that each cat set down, his mind lost in thoughts that swarmed his conscience. Laurelsong, his daughter, could only muster a couple words, which was more than he would be able to for a few moments. He padded towards her, an expression of surprise still adorning his usually serious face. As he sat down next to her, the scratches and wounds on his side stretched and stung, but with nothing more than a look of pain on his face, he pushed it away.

The scent of Windclan caused his nose to twitch. Standing tall, the dusty-brown and grey tom tried to push away the feeling. He stood as tall and strong as nearly any warrior and was still growing. There was no way he would show his growing frustration or discomfort with being here. Allegiances bothered him. Clans should not have to partner with each other and should stand on their own. However, with the mounting enemies against Thunderclan, he supposed this wasn't awful. Although, the scent of herbs threatened to make him sneeze the whole way there. Being chosen to come had been such an honor for him as the only apprentice and he was bound and determined not to screw this up. His tail twitched and his eyes narrowed as he looked over the gathering clan cats.

The fur on his shoulders bristled slightly as cats surrounded them on all sides. They were surprisingly curious. Although, he was somewhat surprised that none of them challenged the cats who just walked straight into their camp and simply accepted it. If it were his camp, he would have just stopped short of ripping their pelts from their frame. Blizzardstar would give the final command if necessary. As the patrol stopped, he set the tiny bundle of herbs on the ground and continued to look over the assembled cats. As on came near, he growled ever so softly and drew the herbs in closely. These were for the medicine cat, "You'll get them eventually." Eaglepaw meowed gruffly as he stood there over the dried leaves.

Featherlight joined her Clanmates, blinking in slight surprise at the ThunderClan scent not being just ThunderClan's medicine cat, but seemingly also a small amount of ThunderClan warriors and Blizzardstar herself. And they were carrying herbs, if her nose wasn't betraying her in their desperation. She nodded her head in greeting to her fellow medicine cat, but stayed back behind Brindlewhisker and watched the ThunderClan cats silently.

Violetfall followed Dustcloud and Blizzardstar into the WindClan camp, half apprehensive, half excited. She clenched her teeth around her bundle of herbs, finally getting a good look at WindClan. They looked half starved, and many of them were covered in scratches and other injuries. The grey warrior nearly dropped her herbs in surprise. She had had no idea how badly RiverClan had beaten WindClan! And taking all of their herbs, after such a taxing battle? Ivystar was truly a tyrant.

Willowpaw nodded slowly, gaze distracted by the herbs. They had quickly replenished their Freshkill Pile, but the herb stores were so low.
