March's Gathering 2018

Dustpaw walked in with Shadowclan and sat down. She looked around, her first Gathering. She was so happy.

Rippedsky followed dutifully behind Crowstar. His ears were perked and alerted, prepared for any tensions at this gathering. The last had been rather unpredictable. Thankfully, and surprisingly, Skyclan was the first to enter the clearing. As he raced down the side, a breath slowly released from his chest, one that he did not realize he had been holding. The black and white tom meowed a quick instruction for Brokenpaw to mingle when the other clans arrived but to be cautious when talking to the other clans. As soon as that was cleared up, the deputy found his place at the base of the great rock. It was strange sitting there all by himself and he found himself longing for the company of the other deputies, even if it meant sitting tensely between warring sides.

Not long after, the scent of Riverclan hit his nostrils and blue eyes glanced up to see Jaystream approaching. Something was off about the much younger tom. Concern rose up in him quickly. Having had the chance to speak with the tom in the past, he had grown to appreciate him. Rippedsky flicked his tail lightly against Jaystream's pelt and meowed softly, "Is everything alright?"

The younger, tailless warrior hung back and stuck near his adoptive daughter. This would be Drizzlepaw's first gathering here. With everything going on, he did not want to leave her side. Hopefully, Poplartooth wouldn't be lingering too much near them. The other warrior had never been much in the way of good company, and even if Mumblefoot was beginning to not pay much attention to the taunts, sharing his daughter with the tom was not appealing.

"I'll have to introduce you to a few friends. Not everyone in the forest hates each other..." He muttered, glancing over the clearing. No one was there yet. When a clan did arrive, it was neither of the ones that held the cats he had grown to appreciate. Mumblefoot felt never to nothing it the way of Riverclan, but at least they weren't hostile towards Skyclan. Hopefully, Bonestrike and Birchheart would arrive soon.

Darkpaw was more than eager to be at the gathering. Her paws barely touched the ground as she followed right behind Ivystar. A soft smile was on her maw and she eagerly took a seat near the front, hoping as Skyclan apprentice would join her soon. Sitting up as straight as possible, the she-cat's gaze was already trained on the great rock where two of the leaders sat. Crowstar was much bigger than she ever imagined! This was going to be interesting, no matter what happened.

Jaystream barely lifted his head when he felt the scent of Shadowclan. He wasn't even capable of being surprised when he saw Littlebrook step in the Great Rock and when a dark tabby occupied the spot of the deputies. When his eyes met him, he saw his own reflection on them. He had the same look when he was made deputy. He managed to do a tiny smile and greet him as well with a nod. "Welcome..." He mewed softly before he felt the touch of the black and white deputy.

He turned his head to Rippedsky but he couldn't keep looking at him when he asked. Trying to contain a sobbing, the tom sighed and curled his tail around his paws. "No... I-I-I l-lost m-my m-mate... w-while s-she was g-giving b-birth..." He whispered with a sad and broken voice to the other deputy.

Lionpaw was the last of the ShadowClan cats to arrive, he yawned, and quickly went to find a spot to rest on, he found a patch of grass and crouched on it, purring quietly as he looked at the massive amount of cats around, hopefully things would go smoothly that night so he wouldn´t need to move at all and rest, he couldn´t help to smile at his own laziness.

Firestone entered the Gathering with his mate, his head lowered as he settled down with his clanmates. He was glad that Thunderclan wasn't here. He didn't want to meet Heather again after what happened during the last Gathering. With a sigh, he tried to calm himself while he waited for the leaders to start speaking.

Cedarstorm walked with Spiderpaw and Crowfur and sat down with them. She smiled and licked his forehead before nudging him with her head. "Why don't you go and talk to other clan cats? This is your chance to do it." She purred with a smile.

Duckpuddle padded into Fourtrees with a neutral expression on her face. She didn't feel like talking, she didn't feel like conversing with anyone that wasn't from RiverClan. In fact, she didn't even feel like talking to any cats from her own Clan. The most recent fight with WindClan and the skirmish against that ThunderClan tom still haunted the she-cat's mind. There was also the subject of Stormcloud. She hadn't seen her WindClan tom for a long time, and Duckpuddle was unaware that he had his warrior name. Had he seen her during the battle? She hadn't seen him. The she-cat had felt a small bit of thankfulness when she hadn't had to fight Stormcloud, but if she had run into the tom during the battle, she would've fought him with everything she had had in her. Could she even call the WindClanner a friend anymore? They were on two opposite sides of the spectrum when it came to rivalries and allies. The brown warrior sat down towards the back of the RiverClan crowd and kept her eyes glued to the spot where she knew ThunderClan would enter.
That tom would probably be amongst the crowd.

Newtface padded into Fourtrees with ShadowClan, but he kept to himself. Rosepaw could've been walking into the clearing right beside him with the title of 'warrior' placed proudly on her heart. She had deserved to die with a warrior name, not with the suffix of 'paw'.
Rosepetal, the tom thought, with a soft sigh, that's what I'll call you.
He felt a pain in his heart as he settled down with the ShadowClan cats. However, instead of branching out and socializing, he decided to keep to himself and lower his head. A dark shadow seemed to loom solely over the tom as he stared down at his speckled paws. Nothing else was interesting to him at the time.

poplartooth ⚜

The tom couldn't help but feel the slightest bit envious. Poplartooth had been expecting to show Drizzlepaw around during her first Gathering, but Mumblefoot had seemed to snatch up that role before Popartooth had even had a chance. He didn't want to seem like he was stalking the two of them, but he did stay rather near to them as SkyClan padded into Fourtrees.
"Be careful who you talk to, there's plenty of scum living in these Clans." The fluffy warrior told Drizzlepaw, looking down at her, before shooting Mumblefoot a quick, dull glance.
This was his apprentice.
He was going to train her.

Although the usual silence between Wolfheart and Olivelily hung heavily, it was quite comfortable. Keeping with the bengal she-cat, his gaze remained trained on the cats ahead of them as they ventured into the sacred hollow. The scent of SkyClan and RiverClan mixed together was quite foul, but he kept his mouth tightly shut as he settled down alongside Olivelily. ”Do you think this Gathering will be as tense as the last?” Wolfheart whispered, pressing against Olivelily as he spoke.

Rowantalon entered the gathering with a rather flat expression, walking apart from his clanmates. The spotted tom hissed softly through his teeth, turning his hazel eyes towards the three leaders with a hint of disdain. Although he'd like to offer the Riverclan leader and deputy his respect, he couldn't ignore the fact that Ivystar had let age-old petty quarrels stop her from saving the lives of both Thunderclanners and Riverclanners. Certainly, a simple piece of territory wouldn't be too much to offer. But Ivystar was a young leader, and still inexperienced. The short-legged tom hadn't expected much of her, but Crowstar was another story. The fluffy Skyclanner was one of the oldest leaders, and he had assumed that he would've made a wiser decision and sided with those that needed the traditionally peaceful clan's assistance the most.
And then there was Littlestar. Rowantalon hadn't yet been able to speak with her- certainly, she would be more willing to hear him out than Magpiestar would've been.
The senior warrior sighed softly and found a place to sit down, scanning the clearing for his children and grandchildren. In times of war, one could never be too careful. Rowantalon had lost far too many family members in these past moons, and he didn't think he'd be able to live with himself if another joined Starclan too early.

Lionpaw opened one of his eyes, he was so relaxed there, almost falling asleep, but he was indeed alert, his ears flicked a bit, noticing the tension around... what on earth had happened that made all the cats so tense? he wondered, he was going to ask once they were back at the camp

Nightpaw walked around, looking for someone to.  She walked around a group of cats to see an apprentice. She walked up to lionpaw " Hiya! I'm Nightpaw!" She said excitedly.

Viperstorm padded after her leader. The blue gray warrior sat close to the rock. Not in the deputy spot but close enough so she could hear everything. With the way things were between the clans she wanted to make sure nothing slipped by. She didn't want Thunderclan or Windclan making it seem like they were the victims here when they had what was coming for them.

Bonestrike padded after the newly named Littlestar. He couldn't believe that they had lost so many leaders in the past while.. What would the other clans think of them trading off leaders so fast? The usually positive warrior wasn't so happy with Shadowclan's situation, but he hoped for the best. He had trust that Littlestar would lead them out of this.

Lionpaw opened both eyes now seeing Nightpaw, he smiled and sat, stretching a bit "Hi there Nightpaw, the name is Lion, Lionpaw, nice to meet you" 

Dustpaw walked over to Drizzlepaw. "Hello! I'm Dustpaw."
