Foxkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Ashstar leapt onto the Tallrock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather underneath the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!" she yowled commandingly.

Foxkit energetically bounded out of the nursery. It was finally time! She could hardly contain her excitement.

Another one of his adopted kits was going to be an apprentice. At Ashstar's call, Nectarleap sat down close to the Tallrock and waited patiently. Foxkit had waited a while for this, and he was glad she would finally be an apprentice.

Ashstar nodded approvingly at the young kit. "Foxkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Foxpaw. Your mentor will be Quailfeather. I hope she will pass down all she knows on to you."

Quailfeather blinked in surprise as her name was called to be a mentor once again. It seemed like not too long ago Lionstorm had been promoted- holy StarClan, he'd grown fast- and now here she was with yet another apprentice. She had always loved apprentices, and this young she-cat seemed to be no exception. Foxpaw looked kind of like how Fernfeather had, actually- energetic and excited. She liked that in a cat. The senior warrior touched her nose to the she-cat's and smiled, her frosty blue eyes looking into hers. "I can't wait to train with you, Foxpaw," she purred.

Foxpaw excitedly touched her nose to Quailfeather's. "Me ether!" She replied. "I can't wait to make my first catch!"

Lionstorm chanted with the clan, "Foxpaw, Foxpaw, Foxpaw!" The golden warrior smiled encouragingly at the new apprentice before offering his congratulations to Quailfeather, "Looks like Ashstar is keeping you busy!" He mewed happily.
