Little Birds(CLOSED)

Brightkit hung back as all of his siblings rushed foreward to greet their father or brag in some way. It didn't really make any since to him why each one boasted over simple things so much but he assumed it was because Jaystream was not only their father but also the Deputy. Of course, maybe it was normal, Brightkit didn't really have any other examples of Father-Kit relationships since they stayed in the Medicine Cat den instead of the Nursery. Honestly, he was far more interested in the hare that laid at his Dad's paws. 'I wonder if prey reacts the same way a cat does when it's killed...'

After a few moments, Brightkit shrugged his shoulders as answer to his mental question and padded through his siblings to take a bite of the hare. As he pulled back, chewing the meat in his maw, Brightkit heard Ivystar cut into the conversation his father was having with the rest of his littermates. Quickly taking another bite, his ears perked and after he had swallowed he turned to look at his grandmother. Ivystar was one of the few cats that managed to catch Brightkit's attention. Something about her made his mind wander to stories of powerful cats that hunted in the stars. He wasn't sure how true he felt the stories of Starclan were but she made him WANT to believe. Unable to help himself Brightkit padded over to her and sat down at her paws silently, not close enough to touch her but close enough that he could closely observe all the expressions that crossed her face.
