| Laurelsong, who had been watching the ceremony from the sidelines, was pleased to hear her name called as Sparkpaw's mentor. Her first apprentice, Mistpaw, was still stuck in the medicine cat's den, and Briarpaw had been tragically killed. At this rate, the clan was probably going to start thinking that she was cursed or something, or that she wasn't skilled enough to mentor an apprentice to warriorhood. Hmpf, I'll show them! Stepping forward, the young silver and white warrior bent her head to touch noses with the young tom, her eyes gleaming with a faint hint of arrogance; "You'll be the best warrior in WindClan when I'm done with you!"
