Sweet Leader

Sweetheart padded to the camp entrance, waiting for the other two chosen cats to accompany her on her hunting patrol. She was honestly very surprised Jaystream had elected her to lead a patrol, especially with how 'untrustworthy' she was just because she had an opinion that contradicted Ivystar's... She growled softly and flicked her tail in irritation as she waited.

OOC: GAH I SAW IT BUT I FORGOT I SIGNED UP

Heronpaw was sitting in camp, thinking. Well, I completely disobeyed my leader. Because you followed your morals, another voice peeped out in his head. Oh, no! I forgot! Sweetheart's patrol... How could he not remember? He dashed to the she-cat, gasping for breath. "I'm sorry! I just forgot for some reason!" he said to the more experienced warrior.

The small warrior left her den, being careful that Batfang wouldn’t notice her. She sighed relieved when she reached her group and smiled with tired eyes. ”Hello there. I’m sorry for my delay. I’ve been having... hard days lately.” She mewed glancing back at the den where her mate was sleeping.

"That's okay, there's no real rush," Sweetheart purred to Heronpaw when he arrived. When Tinytip approached next, she smiled and dipped her head respectfully to the older warrior. "I suppose now we can leave."

She led the apprentice and fellow warrior out into the snowy plains of RiverClan's territory, heading towards the river. It had been a while since she honed her fishing skills, having been trying to catch land prey much more often. Frankly, she was sick of it, even if she did enjoy the taste of water vole. "Heronpaw, I think it would be a good idea for you to hunt within earshot of me or Tinytip. That way we can all help each other should a predator show." With a kind smile, she turned to the river and crouched next to it, reaching out a paw in preparation to fish out a shadow in the water. After a few heartbeats she found a fish and lashed her paw into the water, hooking her claws under its belly and swiftly pulling out. Finally, she pounced on it before it could flop back into the water and nipped the back of its neck to kill it.

(OOC: We can take turns in order of appearance. We can go in the order of me, then Mamenchisaurus, and finally Jay Bird. Also, maybe we can limit the patrol to three catches per cat so it doesn't stretch out for too long. Hope that's fine with you two. :3)

Heronpaw watched for a fish, and swatted at it with an unsheathed paw.  The gray tom suddenly saw a huge eagle take away the fish that he would've caught. Not again, he thought, remembering how his training was interrupted by an eagle that snatched his fish away. "Tinytip! Sweetheart! Eagle!" he yowled to the other cats.

The small she-cat didn’t have the opportunity to catch something before she heard Heronpaw’s calling. Being driven by her motherly instincts, the experienced warrior ran toward the big bird and bit its wing before it could fly away. The blood filled her tongue but she kept the eagle on ground, giving her clanmates an opportunity to attack.

Tinytip used Teeth Grip on Eagle, dealing 12 damage and costing 20 stamina. Eagle is stunned for 3 turns.

The eagle tries to shake the small cat off, but it didn't work.  This cat won't bring me down like my mate was, he thought as he struggled to escape.

Eagle is stunned for 2 turns.

The short warrior bit the flesh of the predator as hard as she could with her tiny jaws. She knew that if she came back with wounds, Batfang wouldn’t let her go out without him. Even if she loved him... Tinytip was starting to feel trapped every time he acted under the excuse that he was “protecting her”. Every day it was harder for her to leave the camp.

Tinytip kept using Teeth Grip on Eagle, dealing 12 damage. Eagle is stunned for two turns.

The eagle screeched at the cats slicing at it, but there was nothing he could do.  He would die.

Eagle is stunned for 1 more turn.

The small black and white she-cat bit harder, keeping the eagle immobilized until she could feel how its life was slipping away. When the huge bird stopped struggling, Tinytip finally let go of its wing and she stepped back, licking the blood in her fangs. She breathed fastly but with a satisfied smile. They did it... they really defeated that predator without a scratch. Her amber eyes glanced at the leader of the patrol like she was asking what they should do now: go back to the camp or continue hunting.

Tinytip kept using Leap-and-Hold, dealing 12 damage. Eagle is dead.
