Encountering a Swift Battle

Scorchfang burst through the undergrowth in hard pursuit of a rabbit. It had wandered across the Thunderpath from WindClan's territory, and he was determined to catch it before it raced back across the Thunderpath. That rabbit would feed the Clan well; they were so used to frogs and rodents, so a rabbit would be a great treat for the kits and elders.

He grew closer and closer to the rabbit, but he was so invested in catching it that he didn't even notice he completely flew over the Thunderpath and right into WindClan territory.

OOC: I know this is a very SWIFT start into the battle but Swift boi doesn't mess around when it comes to trespassing and stealing.  

Swiftstep was out solo-hunting once again when he noticed a figure darting across the Thunderpath. What? Was that a Shadowclan cat? His eyes narrowed and his tail bushed with hostility. That marsh-dweller crossed the border! How dare they! He hissed as he then noticed what they were chasing. They were hot on the heels of a Windclan rabbit. The sleek warrior was going to bring justice down upon this intruder with his own paws!

Swiftstep ran as fast as he could and rammed his body against Scorchfang. Sending him tumbling and the rabbit fleeing away. "What are you doing in Windclan territory Shadowclanner? Were you stealing one of OUR rabbits?" he hissed with anger.

Scorchfang yowled in shock as he was suddenly knocked back. When he scrambled to his paws, his eyes widened when he realized he was no longer standing on damp, dark grass, or even the sticky stone of the Thunderpath, but the soft blades of WindClan territory. Oh, stars, he had just trespassed, and this warrior who came out of literally nowhere didn't seem to keen on letting him go without a fight.

He narrowed his eyes and snarled before launching himself into a sprint towards Swiftstep, then veered around him at the last second to gnash his teeth into his tail, yanking hard and knocking him off balance.

Scorchfang used Tail Yank on Swiftstep, dealing 5 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Swiftstep is Stunned for one turn.

OOC: Welp. At least he tried! I'm sure he'll give Swiftstep some nasty scars.

IC: Swiftstep let out a gasp as his tail was pulled and he was pulled down. The warrior growled under his breath. 'Nice one.' he hissed in his thoughts toward Scorchfang.

Swiftstep is no longer stunned.

With a low growl, the ShadowClan tom reared up on his hind paws and slashed his claws down hard on Swiftstep's face, scoring fresh wounds along his muzzle, just narrowly missing his nose.

Scorchfang used Rear-Up to Slash, dealing 11 damage and costing 15 stamina.

Swiftstep snarled and backed up. The large tom decided to return the gesture but even harder. He reared up on his back paws and used his unsheathed paws to pummel the warrior's face as hard as he could. He came back down and looked at Scorchfang with anger.

Scorchfang fell to the ground, falling limp, after Swiftstep's next attack. He waited until he sensed the WindClan warrior's muscles relaxing before leaping back up into action, slashing his claws into his muzzle.

The warrior snarled when he was fooled and backed away while shaking his head to clear some of the blood off of his muzzle. The warrior was determined to end it now! He pushed Scorchfang down and reared up on his hind legs. Then, he brought both of his paws down upon the other tom's head. He moved away seeing that the battle was over. Swiftstep hissed. "Get out of here toad-face! Go eat mud back at your own territory!" he spat.

Scorchfang growled weakly as he collapsed to the ground, completely out of commission. He stumbled back to his paws and looked up at Swiftstep, not with rage, but instead with regret. After all, he had never meant to trespass, but he was too swept up in battle to think about escaping. He didn't say another word, instead racing back over the Thunderpath into ShadowClan territory.
