Birchpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Blizzardstar smiled as she hoped onto the Highrock, finally another apprentice was ready to become a warrior “All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!”.

Birchpaw came out the elder's den, she was easing back into her duties now and used her time to help those stuck in camp. The she-cat grimaced as she sat down, the pain was easier to manage now that she was healing up. She had taken care to not open her wounds again.

Once enough cats were gathered beneath the Highrock, the white leader finally decided to go on "Birchpaw, please, step forward” She waited until the apprentice did as she was told before talking again “I, Blizzardstar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn” Her gentle eyes soon landed on the the she-cat “Birchpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?”

Birchpaw looked up while her heart swelled in pride. "I do." She meowed. She'd follow Pansyface's advice and be the best her she could be. Now, she could do that with fewer restrictions on her. For a moment, she didn't feel tired, her stump of a tail didn't hurt so bad.

Blizzardstar smiled and nodded approvingly before she continued speaking “Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Birchpaw, from this moment you will be known as Birchheart. StarClan honors your loyalty and hard work, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan” With that, she leaped off the Highrock and rested her muzzle on the newly named warrior’s head to conclude the ceremony.
