Taking a Walk (Open)

Scorchkit was bored. Very bored. The little tabby tom had no littermates, and his mom was more interested in sleeping than playing with him. Fed up with staring at the walls of the nursery which hemmed him in, he decided to go for a walk around camp. Leaving the nursery, Scorchkit awkwardly made his way over the snow. Cold shot up his tiny paws with each step he took. He hated this strange white stuff called snow that seemed to blanket the whole camp. The only thing good about it was how he could leave paw prints behind as he walked.  Where should I go? He wondered, looking at the camp that lay before him. Scorchkit was a quiet kit. He wasn't shy, he just didn't like talking to others very much; when he was talked to, he was usually rather grumpy. Now that there was no one around to play with him or hang out with him, however, he suddenly began to feel lonely. He wished someone would come and talk to him.

Darkpaw came out of the apprentice den and yawned. She wanted to play with someone but everyone else was asleep so she went to the center of camp and pawed the snow making it little less bumpy. Then she layed down and started to groom her bluish grey fur. She looked around but the only cat she saw was a kit in the snow and she thought she was seeing things cause why would a kit be in the snow in leaf-bare without its mom. She licked and licked waiting for someone to wake up and play with her.

Scorchkit's ears perked up when he saw a cat (Darkpaw) emerge from the Apprentice Den. However, the blue gray apprentice just sat down and began to clean herself, seemingly not taking notice of him. While the tabby kit did not like talking to others, he disliked even more being the one to have to start the conversation. She seemed to be a rather nice cat, though, and Scorchkit had nothing better to do, so he walked over. "Hi." He squeaked. "Who are you? Are you an apprentice?"

Darkpaw stoped grooming and looked down when she saw the kit had came over. "my name is darkpaw and yes I'm an apprentice but I'll be warrior soon." she said sweetly. She was surprised that vixenpaw and wolfpaw made it so she wasn't mean or bossy anymore and she wa still getting used to it. She smiled at the kit. "whats your name little one?" she asked the little tom.

Scorchkit's eyes widened with awe when he learned that the apprentice before him was almost a warrior. "Wow. That's amazing..." She was so much bigger and stronger than him, too. As he gazed at her slender form, he made out the lean muscles beneath her pelt. Would he one day be like that as well? He could not wait for the day when he would be a warrior. At that time, he would put his all into serving his clan. "My name is Scorchkit!" He declared proudly when she asked him for his name. "I'm going to be an apprentice soon. Are you looking forward to becoming a warrior?"

OOC: her warrior name is going to be DarkFlower isn't it soo cute :3
Ic: she smiled at him. "of course but I won't be able to play with you kits or my apprentice friends because I'll be busy." she said looking down. She had so many friends that if she became warrior she wondered if she would have time for them. "well besides that what do you want to do as apprentice?" she asked the kit getting rid of her thoughts.

OOC: Darkflower is a nice name. It's a good choice to name her that. :D

IC: Although he had difficulty understanding the meaning behind the apprentice's words, Scorchkit decided not to say anything about it. He did not know many cats at all, unlike her, and there were fewer cats that he enjoyed spending time with. "I want to train, of course," He said, when Darkpaw asked him what he wanted to do as an apprentice. "I will become RiverClan's greatest warrior!" At the mention of his dream, the little tom's eyes sparkled with kit delight and he puffed out his chest, perhaps with a little too much confidence. Then again, he was a kit, and did not most kits have such dreams? All of a sudden, he paused, then he asked a little shyly, "Darkpaw, will you be my friend?"

She smiled at the little kit. "of course I will." she said smiling at the kit. She decided to tell this kit something that she had never told anyone besides wolfpaw. "im going to tell you something that only one cat knows. Even though I had no parents I always though I did so whenever there was a warrior or kit around I would act like I was hurt or needed help just to get some love." she said telling him. "the only cat that knows this is my love wolfpaw." she said smiling when thought of him came flooding in.

OOC: thanks hey I'm wondering if I should pm wolfpaw to join but it's your topic so your choice

OOC: I don't mind. Wolfpaw coming over means another cat for Scorchkit to talk to.

IC: Scorchkit felt a warm glow of happiness within his heart when Darkpaw said yes. He had made his first friend. "Thank you." He purred. He listened as the apprentice continued to speak further. He did not know what to say to this sudden information. While he was honored to be the second cat who knew about this, he also did not know how he should respond. Scorchkit wondered who this Wolfpaw cat was, who was the only other one who knew about this. Darkpaw had called him her love. Did that mean that the two of them would one day be mates? "Do you still do that?" Asked Scorchkit, referring to what she had told him about. Were things still the same?

She smiled at his curiosity. "no ever since my friend vixenpaw said she would be my fake sis then when I met wolfpaw when he was a kit I started to understand that I didn't need to be mean and bossy to seem loyal to the clan but just to make friends." she said smiling.

Wolfpaw who were laying on 'his' rock opened his eyes when he heard Darkpaw saying his name. He saw her with a kit and got up and walked over to them. "Hi Darkpaw!" he said and licked her cheek and then he looked at the kit "Hey little one, so whats you'r name?
Mines Wolfpaw" he said and smiled slightly at the kit infron of him.


OCC: Wolfpaw loves that rock almost as much as he loves Darkpaw xD

Scorchkit was about to respond to Darkpaw, when suddenly another apprentice came over. From the looks of things, this tom was the 'Wolfpaw' that Darkpaw had been talking about--her lover. Wolfpaw seemed friendly enough, but Scorchkit was not quite sure about that."... My name is Scorchkit." He said a little stiffly. "Darkpaw told me about you."

OOC: Sorry for the late reply... I've been occupied So Darkpaw's rival in love is a rock?

Ooc: omg I better fight for darkpaw rights lol or wolfpaw would be licking a rock forever XD

Ic: she smiled at wolfpaw and the noticed that the kit didn't trust him much. "no he doesn't know you that much just that he helped me get out of being bossy and mean." she said smiling at wolfpaw.

He smiled at them "Well yeah I guess I did" he meowed. "So does anyone wanna play a game or something? I'm pretty bored" he said and looked at them.

"Sure..." Scorchkit said in reply to Wolfpaw. A game was not a bad idea. He was bored as well, and wanted to move his body. "What do you want to play?"
