"I think so, too. We make a good team," Emberpaw purred. The patrol had been far more of a success than she had initially thought - she had thought they might catch a couple birds and a mouse or two, but nothing as good as what they were returning home with.

Heatherpaw felt her chest swell up with happiness at her friend's statement. She was a great teammate to hunt with after all! Even if she didn't catch any traditional prey, she still helped Emberpaw take down an entire owl, and now the Clan will be able to feast tonight thanks to the two of them. She couldn't wait to hunt with the flame-colored she-cat again, or do anything with her again for that matter. Being around her always made her happy and fuzzy inside, and she never felt the same feeling with any other cat.

She looked Emberpaw in the eye and arched her eyes happily, letting a loud purr convey what words around the stiff owl feathers couldn't that she was very happy to be with her.

Emberpaw nuzzled her friend as best she could with both of them carrying prey, feeling oddly warm despite the snowy weather of leaf-bare, almost certainly due to the company she was keeping. Words weren't necessary for the moment, and so she kept silent but walked close to Heatherpaw.

(OOC: Is this usually where we end the topic? Unless we're supposed to do something else...)

(OOC: I'd say this is a good spot to end it, personally, unless you wanna do another post where Heatherpaw brings the owl back to the fresh-kill pile)
