The Bee Finds The New Flower [Open]

Beekit knew from the time she could remember that she did not have true parents. She did not have a mother, nor a father. The way that the other RiverClanners made it sound was like her momma had her with no tom. Just herself. And then she died. They said she was brought back by a different clan cat who found her on the border, but that's all she would be told. She knew something was different but she just didn't know quite what in her kitten brain. She just couldn't put it together.

Not only did she not have her own momma, but her sibblings were weird. Yes, she was much smarter than them. They liked doing all the kitten things the other kits did, but she found no amusement with catching a leaf or splashing that ugly thing called water around. She hated water. "You're a RiverClan cat, we swim!" every warrior ever in existance of RiverClan told her. She hissed at the idea as she sat at the edge of the camp. One benefit of having no momma is the ability to get away with a lotta things. It was easy to make the other queens or warriors sad, it sure was. A flutter or two of her eyes and they would remember she was alone and forgive her. Noboby ever watched her.

She had decided what to do last night. There was this thing called "WindyClan" that the big warriors and apprentices talked about fighting. The other kits played as WindyClan warriors and RiverClan warriors and fought each other. She found it rude, and it often made her really mad. An elder told her they liked to run fast. She liked to run fast too.

Slipping out of the reeds, the big-for-a-kit golden she-cat padded out into the night. She didn't really know where she was going, but she went to the river and found stones that went across. Perfect. She had to do big great wide leaps to make it across. After one little slip up where her back foot splashed into the water, she hissed and sprinted the rest of the way.

She spent the rest of the night wandering the forest on the other side of the river. Eventually, she came to grass that felt different and smelt different. Guessing it as her best guess, she continued walking. Her little paws hurt but she kept walking. She was also very hungry, but she remembered there was no momma to cry to. So she walked further.

Eventually, the kit gave up and plopped her golden body down. She was sooooo tired. Just a little nap wouldn't hurt....

OoC: If someone could find her and bring her to the camp that would be awesome

The Leaf-Fall crisp heather and grasses swayed and crunched softly beneath Brindlewhisker's paws as she continued to make her way through the territory. She had taken her leave from camp to go stretch her legs in the peace and quiet, free from the constant hum of activity that often felt a tad bit overwhelming. However, the wind changing directions alerted her to a new scent that had her nape fur prickling. Picking up speed, Brindlewhisker broke into a swift gallop as she hurriedly followed the scent. Bounding down a shallow dip in the earth, the Deputy came to a halt in front of the small creature that laid before her. The kit reeked of many different scents, with the faint scents of undergrowth and stale fish clinging to her pelt. Her eyes narrowed as she gazed down at the kit who was sprawled ungracefully in the heather. Reaching out with a forepaw, the she-cat sharply prodded the she-kit between the ribs. "Who are you?" Brindlewhisker questioned sternly, her face portraying a sharp frown.

Beekit jumped, and then scrambled to stand up and face the new cat. "I am Beekit and I would like to join WindyClan." the kit blinked, looking up to the new cat in front of her defiantly.

Featherpaw was out collecting herbs and other supplies - cobwebs and other such things. It was peaceful and relaxing, a way to escape the burden she had been left with of caring for an entire Clan with almost no training. The only surprises she found on these outings were herb locations she hadn't known about.

She was certainly surprised, however, when she nearly stepped on a kit. "Oh!" she exclaimed, scrambling back a few steps. "I'm sorry about that, little one. Where did you come from?" The kit didn't smell like WindClan. It didn't smell like anything familiar to the medicine cat apprentice, actually.

Beekit squeaked, then jumped out of the way for the grey cat. Puffing out her fur, she raised her head defiantly, energy re surging into her paws. [color:b0a4= #ffcc66]"My name is Beekit and I come from RiverClan. I don't like it there and my mom died and nobody loves me." she said boldly, her voice cracking at the end of the statement, but her eyes remaining strong and intense.

"I see," said Featherpaw quietly. "Would you like to see our leader? I can take you to Ashstar, she's the leader of WindClan." She stood patiently, waiting for a response.

"Yes please, I'd like to see Ashystar of WindyClan." she blinked, trying to fight away how tired she was.

Featherpaw nodded. "Alright then. Follow me." With that, she made her way in the direction of WindClan's camp, stopping occasionally to make sure the kit was following her.

Beekit padded off after Featherpaw, trying to keep up. She fell behind a little, but ended up catching up here and there.

*soon, they arrive at camp.*

Ashstar barely kept from sighing to the heavens when Featherpaw and yet another kit came into camp. First Badgerkit, then the rogue kit she'd turned away... what now, a RiverClan kit? From the looks of it, and the smell of the kit, her guess wasn't too far off. StarClan, what am I, a nursery? The leader padded up to her medicine cat apprentice, green eyes just a tiny bit annoyed, but mostly concerned for the kit. "Where is this one from, and why is she here?" For the young one was obviously a she-kit.

Fernpaw poked her head out of the apprentices' den when she heard her leader speak, and her gaze almost immediately shifted to little Beekit. She gasped and bounded over to the she-kit, her dark green eyes sparkling with excitement. "Hi! Welcome to WindClan! I'm Fernpaw! Are you coming to join WindClan?" The fluffy gray she-cat gave Beekit a quick sniff, and she blinked curiously. "You smell like RiverClan! Those fish-faces didn't kick you out, did you? That'd be so mean!"

Beekit looked up at Ashstar. "I came to see if I can join WindyClan." She nodded to the leader, than turned to the other kit. "I left."

Ashstar thought for a moment before replying. "If you really want to, I'll let you stay in our nursery. It couldn't hurt to keep you safe if you want to go back. If anyone comes to claim you, however, you'll be going right back to RiverClan. Okay?"

Beekit. "If that's the case, I'll just go back before they come looking for me. Thanks..." Beekit turned and fled back to the more, following her trail scent back.

"Wait!" Fernpaw cried out, cutting the little kit off before she could get too far. "You just got here! Besides, it's too dangerous to go out by yourself, especially during leaf-bare where predators are much more common. At least stay for the night where you can be warm and fed." She looked up at Ashstar pleadingly. "Tell her to stay. It's too cold and dangerous out there."
